The old logo and packaging was much more sophisticated. The new bottle is a curious choice -- the product is slippery, the new dispenser-topped bottle has a rotating top which you need to depress to dispense the product. So you've got slippery hands and you're trying to push down on a rotating top on a smooth plastic container? Did *ANYONE* consider the obvious problems with a bottle design like this? If it was done intentionally, it's a great practical joke. The OLD bottle had a cap you'd depress a hinged lip on -- no rotation, no pushing downward. Much more effective.

This is an awesome product for a relatively much more reasonable cost, compared to other major lubricant brands! It completely rinses away very quickly, seemingly within a few seconds, when washing your hands, and is otherwise very effective in terms of it's intended purpose!

Ignore top reviews/bad reviews, the only person who can test a product like this is you. Your skin could have an entirely different reaction than mine and your subjective likes and dislikes can only be decided by you. I looked around and thought way too hard about what to buy, this is very cheap and has pretty favorable reviews. I bought it once I started getting a headache from overanalyzing every little detail about every single choice and the price is mostly what put me over the edge (haha). Just buy it and see how it works, worst case you lose like what 8 bucks? My experience: easily dispensed from the bottle, I wanted a hand soap type pump but it's actually pretty unnecessary I found out. I can control the amount and spillage very easily. The lube itself feels a little sticky after you're done but not as gross as the word implies, but during it basically just feels really smooth and low friction, but not so low that it's TOO sloppy and feels unrealistic. It's just right. It also doesn't take long for friction to warm it up which is nice and if it lost water during use and thickened, I couldn't tell until I was nearly done and I noticed thrusts were a little louder than when I started. Cleanup was effortless as well, I typically wipe myself with a dry paper towel/shop towel before hitting the bathroom to fully clean off so as to not get stuff on anything else be it underwear or whatever and this lube did not stick to my skin or leave a gross sensation even with just the dry wiping off, which you might have even assumed had completely cleaned my junk with how well it was removed. So yeah, buy the stupid lube and try it. I had no burning or itching, etc. If you have anything like that obviously go wash off immediately and throw it away if you can't refund it or whatever. Have fun.

They changed the "ingredients," and this starts to get sticky fairly quickly. It used to stay slippery and lubricated for nuch much longer. Also, the push-top "squirt" applicator is a nuisance for one-handed operation. Just change everything back and you'll be good to go!

I was very happy with this product, as was my partner. It works well, feels good, and has a clean quality to it, with no smell or taste. But there's one huge problem, which is not advertised. Hidden on the back of the bottle, in small letters, is the following statement: "Lubricant not known to be condom compatible" WTF?! Water based lubricants are usually expected to be safe for condoms. Now maybe this is fine for condoms and they just didn't want to bother testing it thoroughly, or didn't want liability, but if this isn't safe for condoms, that should have been in the description, and explicitly stated on the front of the bottle. To be fair I've used this a bunch of times, and it's a great lube otherwise, and I will continue to use it with my current partner. But if condoms were my only source of protection / birth control, and I didn't know my partner well, I would think twice about using this product. I would otherwise give this 5 stars for being a good lube, but I want to give it 1 star for misleading advertising and potentially being unsafe, so I'm giving it 3. UPDATE: I emailed Shibari and got the following response: "Our label wording and claim correctly states that is not known to be “condom” compatible, but it is safe for use with latex condoms." So apparently it is safe for latex condoms. Which I can easily believe, since there's nothing in the ingredients that aren't common in other lubricants, or that would lead me to believe it is not condom safe. Therefore I'm restoring the 5-Star rating. It's still bizarre and misleading that they have that labeling..

I used this product for years, and the new formula and bottle completely ruined it. It now feels heavily marketed “for women,” but as a man, I had no issues using the old version and loved it. The old formula lasted a long time and worked great. The new one dries out quickly, becomes sticky as it dries, and just doesn’t feel nearly as good anymore. The new pump bottle is also terrible. You have to press it down over and over, and it takes forever to dispense. The old squeeze bottle was simple, fast, and worked perfectly. To make things worse, the price went up because of this unnecessary pump design. It used to cost around $10, and now it’s $16 for the same size bottle except now the product itself feels worse. It honestly feels like they changed the packaging just to justify a price increase while giving customers an inferior product. I don’t understand why they changed something that wasn’t broken. I won’t be buying this again unless they bring back the old formula and bottle. It’s disappointing because this used to be my go-to lube, and now I have to start searching for a new one I actually like. If you’re thinking about trying the new formula, don’t expect it to be as good as the original.
