I have been looking for a sharpener that would be easy for some of the old tools that I pick up at yard sales. One was found in a utility box full of water and heavily corroded. I could not get an edge on it that would make it useful. The pebble works. It fits nicely in my hand and I love the wooden storage box. Not having to us oil is great.     • Good sharpener, case doesn’t quite fit
So far I’ve used this once. Of course it works as described. I could wish for the coarse grit to be more coarse, say 120, vs 150, at least. 150 cuts a bit slowly for nicks and edge rollovers on a handhoe . Similarly for the fine grit. But the stone seems well made. It is slightly too thick for the case, which won’t close by about 1/8”. The imbedded magnets to hold the case closed are too weak to work well with a 1/8” gap. Don’t make the stone thinner, make the case deeper! Overall a good product. ... show more

    • A Pretty Good Whetstone for a Good Price
I picked this up based on a recommendation from a user on YouTube. This brand was recommended as having good quality whetstones for good prices. This one cost about a quarter of what the high-quality whetstones cost, so I jumped at it. It does a good job of sharpening my axes, hatchets, and probably even shovels, if I wanted to do that. I bought the Sharp Pebble Puck/Disk twice, At first I was researching good sharpening stones for my knives I'm a chef, So I came across this product while doing so, I've bought a number of stones Multi-grade stone for different levels of cutting edged tools. Depending on how bad the item is to began with. So I received it tried it out on my 8-10 inch chef knife. Followed the simple instructions. Instant results. Now like I said if your tool is dull, Like anything else that's been neglected you'll work a little harder. But with this stone it makes it a lot easier. So I bought 2, One for my knife set and one for my outside tools. Ax, shears, Machete swords. Great product. ... show more

    • Bamboo container grew mold
This puck worked perfectly and I was able to efficiently sharpen my hactchet, axe, and a few other tools with a little effort. However after placing the puck back into its bamboo container, I broke it out to use it today and found that the inside of the container was covered in various types of mold. The puck had a little growing in it too but it came right off, I ended up dusposing of the container. so just keep in mind that you should ensure the puck is dry befofe storing it, let it sit in the sun or something before placing it in the container so you dont encounter the same issue I did. ... show more
