PEX PEX PEX I’ve read negative reviews regarding this cutter. I believe it’s due to the operator and using in wrong application, cutting non pex tubing. Or not centering PEX into small notch in the bottom center of the jaw. Used on 1/2” PEX A. Straight cut, smooth operation. PEX tubing was not deformed. We dug trenches and placed the pex lines before cutting, so we were cutting the lines inside the trenches. We started without a cutter, so we were using a hack saw, which is a real pain to use in the trench. I finally ordered this and it is great. cuts quickly, with little effort.

And it is an inexpensive blade for cutting plastic tube. It is light weight and has a fundamental blade for cutting. It has a nice seat & notch for placing tube. 1/2" tube cuts easily, 3/4" is a little harder. The blade will distort to one side on harder cuts becasue it is so light but it still works. Also be aware that pex has a curve to it. If you cut it on a curve, the end will not be flat when you straighten it out for installation. Only common sense that is. Make sure the tube is as straight as you can get it before cutting to get a nice clean flat end. For the price it is OK and necessary if you are installing pex. It is a good buy for the DIY'er. ... show more
