Features

  • Skate on all Surfaces: These 72mm skateboarding wheels were designed to explore the world. Start cruising down the backroads, taking hard curves, or skating at the park.
  • Shark Wheel's Advantage: Shark Wheels tend to push small objects left and right out of the way when riding, which provides a smooth ride unlike a traditional wheel that acts like a steamroller.
  • Less Friction: Shark Wheels have 57% less friction when the wheels are in motion. Combined with California-made high-rebound polyurethane which gives the board extra speed, range, and comfort.
  • Less Shock: The unique 30-degree approach angle strikes objects at an angle. Like driving a car over a speed bump at an angle to reduce shock, smoothing the ride with its sine wave approach angle.
  • Made in California: Unlike 95% of other electric skateboard companies, Shark Wheels sources the best high-rebound polyurethane in the world. This leads to a fast and smooth riding experience.

Description

The Shark Wheel Advantage Less Friction, More Speed Shark Wheels produce less friction when the wheels are in motion, producing a smoother ride at higher speeds. Combined with California-made high-rebound polyurethane which gives the skateboard extra speed, range, and comfort. More Grip & Slide Control The Shark Wheel spins as it slides acting like a car's antilock brakes. The sine wave design provides three lips on each wheel while the traditional wheel only has one lip. This provides superior lateral grip for when you want to slide, they break away smoothly and recover easily. More Traction Over Various Terrain Shark Wheels tend to push small objects left and right, out of the way when riding to produce a smooth ride. These Wheels were designed to explore the world, whether it be down backroads, taking hard curves, or at the skate park. David Patrick’s discovery led to the reinvention of the wheel, which is flat on six sides and displays many performance advantages such as friction in motion, longevity, rebound, abrasion resistance, and off-road performance. Shark Wheel worked with the Mechanical Engineering Department out of San Diego State University to ensure the sine wave motion of the Shark Wheel was able to perform through lab and real world applications. • Fun wheels, good performance
Color: Turquoise
Bought for my daughters longboard as she thought these looked so cool. Very unique and add a cool factor to her board. She says they ride smoother than her old similarly sized wheels. I don't quite buy into all the hype of more grip, slide control, and speed... but maybe a little? If you don't care about the cool look, you could probably find better performance wheels at this price point (expensive), but we're happy with them. Now to see how long they last... ... show more

  • Top speed is not so great - only downfall.
Color: Clear Black
Where I skate the streets are rough and the bike lane / sidewalks are always covered with gravel and rubbish. These wheels are perfect for daily commute / travels - as far as not having to pay attention to what your rolling over and just moving forward. The only problem which isn't really a problem, more of a preference is that the top end / top speed is most definitely slower than your generic long board wheels. I would say I top out at about 10 mph with these instead of 13/14 mph on regular generic garbage wheels. Its just more kicking and less stressing about hitting a gravel piece at the perfect angle to make you bail / faceplant. 4 stars because my pupp and I have the n33d for sp33d. ... show more

  • The Perfect Wheels for Cruising?
I've been using these wheels almost exclusively for about 5 months now. Let me say, these are probably the best wheels you will ever cruise on. At 70mm they are a great size for going over cracks, bumps, and generally anything that would otherwise stop you. At a 78a durometer, they are soft enough that the ride is considerably more comfortable and stable than your standard longboard wheels. Combine these with the sine wave shape of these wheels and you have the smoothest ride you could hope for on a skateboard. These wheels are fit for rain and shine. Though your bearings might object to riding in the rain, these wheels certainly won't be the reason you would stop. The aforementioned combination of shape, size, and softness means puddles are no longer a threat to you. Additionally, since these wheels are so smooth, it means that you can achieve great speeds even if your bearings are totally ruined. (Side note: these wheels are absolutely great for downhilling since they can give you such high speeds). On the note of speed, these wheels give me some of the best speed I've ever had while skating (and that's across multiple different types of bearings). Now, I'm not sure I'm comfortable saying they're the fastest wheels you'll buy, since honestly, the speed is comparable to any wheel of a similar size and durometer. What I can say, however, is that the shape of these wheels gives them the edge over any traditional wheel. My reason for saying this is that I have 70mm, 80a longboard wheels that I used before these and they would get tripped up by the usual suspects: pebbles, twigs, crosswalk bumps, some of the gnarlier sidewalk cracks. With these wheels having a sine wave shape, these objects (obviously with the exception of the more severe obstructions) are no longer something to be feared. They will simply give you a bump, or just get thrown out of your path by the sine shape. As for grip on the road, Shark wheels have an exceptional grip on surfaces, even in wet conditions. You will feel minimal, if any slippage at all while you speed through parking lots, sidewalks, and just about any other hard, even-ish ground surface. Now, these wheels have only a couple shortcomings. These wheels make the claim that they can go through gravel, sand and water. Like I said, they can go through water reasonably well for a wheel, though the deeper puddles (ones that are high enough that they make contact with your axle nut) will definitely cause you to slow down, if not bring you to a sudden stop. The same can be said for gravel. Small bits of gravel spread apart won't be much of a problem but larger bits could definitely be a danger to you. As for sand, the advertising is misleading. You wont be shredding through the beach any time soon. Any patch of sand that's maybe a foot or less could possibly be suitable to go through, but any longer than that and you're probably better off walking. Aside from those, the other false claim is that these wheels can slide. They are definitely not made for sliding. At 78a they're just too grippy to pull off any sliding with ease. Even after wearing through them for 5 months they still don't slide well at all. Aside from those critiques I really don't have any other negative thoughts on these wheels. Overall, I'd give these wheels more recommendation than any other wheel I've used. I only wish Shark would come out with a larger wheel than 70mm just for an even smoother ride. ... show more

  • Way better than stock tires
Color: Lava
These offer a smoother ride while also handling bumps better. It's not magic, so if you ride on really rough roads you'll want to get padded grip tape as well. They spin very smoothly and are easy to install. They don't seem to wear terribly fast either. they also just look cool. WORTH THE MONEY

  • These Things are "Wheely" Cool
Color: Sapphire
I almost never review things on Amazon. Products have to make a real impression on me for me to take the time to write a review. That being said..... Words cannot describe how much I love these wheels. I replaced the nineball wheels on my Sector 9 with these and I'm never going back. These things make the ride so much more comfortable. They can roll over anything. I ran over a pine cone once, and I barely noticed it. I no longer have to worry about hitting a pebble and flying off my board. The rounded grooves in the wheels just knock everything aside. Let's also not forget about how awesome these things look. Watching them spin while you're cruising is downright hypnotizing. I don't think I'll be using any other wheels on my boards anytime soon. I cannot recommend these enough! ... show more

  • So far so good
Color: Transparent Red
The media could not be loaded. I gotta say, I dig the wheels so far. I got the package almost as soon as I got home from work and I immediately put the new bearings in and loaded them onto the board. The wheel material seems durable and the ride is pretty dang smooth. But that could just be the zealous bearings. 🤷♂️ I haven’t tested downhills or any seriously rugged terrains yet, but I will say that I ran over what would have normally been a ride-stopping rock and barely even slowed down (see video) ... show more
