  • Had Potential
I bought this DVD at Walmart today as it actually looked good. Nope. The script and the acting had much room for improvement. Skip "Shark Huntress" and check out "The Meg"; you're welcomed. Oh, one final thought to the cast and crew: if you are writing a script about how evil plastic is, perhaps you should have your characters use cash to pay for items rather than a PLASTIC credit card; just saying.... ... show more

  • Really Bad Icky Bug And Not In A Good Way
I like my B-movie icky bug bad but not this bad. Shark Huntress was a slow, dull thing about the evils of plastic. Sure, there was a shark and a few victims, but it was just peripheral to the lame environmental message. If the actors had actually acted, the script writers actually came up with a plot that moves, and of course, and they used the minimal to non-existent special effects to create some kind of tension…well…even I don’t have that high of a tolerance. A waste of time for what may be some decent actors in another situation. ... show more

  • THE DESCRIPTION IS BETTER WRITTEN THAN THE MOVIE
Awful script, wooden acting, and the the description, while better written than the movie, is deceptive. The "huntress" doesn't spend too much time hunting the shark, which looks fake in the few scenes in which it appears, and spends more time trying to solve the mystery (if you could call it that) of her mother's work and death. Please, PLEASE, don't do what I did and waste your money buying this god-awful boring waste of celluloid. You'd be better off losing that $10 on instant lottery tickets. ... show more

  • It's the plastic people.
A shark film begins with a woman swimming in the ocean and PLOT SPOILER gets attacked by a shark. The film moves on with what sounds like a soundtrack to some decades old European light romance film like that Man and a Woman thing. This is most likely the influence of Katrina Grey who also stars as Sheila whose mother is missing. Not too hard to figure out. Her hippy dad lacks an accent and any ability to act. Mom worked at a secret lab that was planning to make recyclable containers from a unique algae in the area, but the evil plastic people (another plot spoiler?) placed a shark in the water. We discover they are worse than the tobacco giants in a long environmental and corporation lecture which was bad but not half as bad as watching Katrina take diving lessons in a swimming pool. I guess this was their equivalent of Rocky beating on Pauli's meat. And the shark was the biggest expense of the film as they had to shell out for a plastic fin. Indoor sound barely passable. Guide: No sex or nudity. Only swearing was me yelling at the screen WTF! ... show more

  • Just say "No."
I really enjoy most shark movies -- Dam Sharks, Ghost Shark, 3 Headed Shark Attack, Jersey Shore Shark Attack, and a host of others. But I only made it 15-20 minutes into this. It's just not good.
