I've seen the name Shapermint someplace. Social media, perhaps. I recall they have a good reputation for being comfortable. This bra is indeed comfortable. The material is soft, particularly inside the cups. I feel slightly deceived, however. The main description-"SHAPERMINT Compression Wirefree High Support Bra for Women Small to Plus Size Everyday Wear, Exercise and Offers Back Support". The packaging says nothing about compression or high support. That is what I was looking for and expecting. The brand name "truekind" is all over the packaging and material inside the bag. Shapermint is just on a little sticker on the bag. This is confusing. For me, this is a leisure bra. Something I will only wear at home. If offers NO support whatsoever. Just some shaping, and a step above being braless. I didn't need another one of these. There is no back support, though I'm not even sure what that is supposed to be. On the plus-size models pictured, it fits well. On myself like most wire-free bras, the band immediately rolls up in the front, and bunches up on the sides and back. I need to adjust regularly. I think it is just the way my fat gut is positioned that makes all bras roll up, so I can't fault this bra for that. The shoulder straps are NOT thick as described. They are fairly narrow and dig in a bit. They also roll up, actually. Again, the material itself is very soft and comfortable. But I am disappointed that this bra is not at all "compression" or "high support". It's a leisure bra. This is supposed to be suitable for plus sizes, but I think it may be better suited for smaller breasted, average size women. ... show more

I know that this is marketed as a sports bra, I call it my after care comfort. This year like many other, I began my journey with beast cancer. After surgery, radiation and other therapies comfort and support can be challenging. You feel a little like goldie-locks trying on bras (too soft, too structure, not enough support, etc). Shaping: Not very much, but bra stays in place and contains the breast without flopping.Fit is like a swimsuit Fabric: Okay, washes well, I do not find it makes me perspire, undercuts band does not chafe Comfort: Not much back support. This bra for me felt more like a sleep bra. It holds everything in but they don't lift mine up. It's very comfortable and mainly I use it for work which I wear scrubs. I purchase the large and I'm a 34 DDD 5'5 157lbs. I have trouble finding bra's that fit and are comfortable so this bra is better than the others I have tried. ... show more

I purchased this bra for post surgery breast reduction. I had some complications 48 hours after surgery my auto immune disorder caused me to break out in severe hives along all the incisions as well as reacting internally where the stitches that dissolve were. Im including this information because my Dr told me to get a 100% cotton bra thinking that would help. It made it worse because the fibers irritated it more. I finally got a steroid shot but they don't work immediately. Thank God I chose this bra to try. After everything I tried - and it is critical to wear a bra 24/7 after a reduction, it was actually SOOTHING put this on. It isn't a true compression bra, but it is soft where the sutures are under the breast so it doesn't rub or irritate the incisions. I ordered the nude and white. I found that the nude was actually softer and fit better. Color in fabrics actually does make a difference in most clothes & how they fit. I worked in retail and know you can try on the exact style and brand of anything, especially things like black and white jeans and they will not be the same fit. The only change I'd like to see regarding this bra would be adjustable straps. They will stretch and depending on your breast, shoulder width and body type the straps might need altering to get the best support, especially over time. So purchase the same color if you want to be sure about fit. Also, purchase 3 - one to wear, one that's being washed, and one to rest. Body oils can deteriorate fabric fibers and bras in particular lose their shape and support ability. ... show more

I kept seeing ads for this bra but was hesitant to purchase. Surely it couldn't be all that it says that it is, right? I have issues finding bras that are both comfortable and supportive. I had a mastectomy on one side and finding bras that don't rub the scar have been hard to find. Super soft, well made. I have never had any issues with rubbing on my scar (for context, my scar runs right along the bra line from the middle of my chest to my back). When I do decide to wear by "foob" (prosthetic) this bra supports it and I don't find myself having to readjust it. I have now purchased 2 of them and expect I will purchase more. I am a 40ddd, so got the 3x. (tried 2x and cups were too small but rest fit) I did have to shorten the straps by an inch each (cut and sew), and the straps still stretch so much the back comes to my waistline, but so comfy - no braline bulge anywhere. If you look closely at the models, theirs all come to the waistline in back too. I took a star off because there just isn't enough structure to replace an underwire completely, but when one wants comfort over structure this is bliss. It still has some structure - it stops complete flopping, but isn't sports bra support. It also looks better under tank tops and sundresses IMHO. ... show more

I love this bra it is so comfortable. There is no underwire which makes it amazing. However if you are used to underwire and have a larger chest this bra will not lift you as high as you were used to. The comfort alone is worth checking out.
