Old traditional Singer bobbins fit most brands of sewing machines (Singer, Kenmore, Janome, Brother, etc. My 1926 Singer = same bobbins as all 80's, 90's machines. But as of 2022 things have changed. These bobbins fit over my Kenmore bobbin winder spindle and the bobbin race spindle under the needle and foot. Which until now I never had to worry about but the fact is, that the bobbin winder spindle has a larger diameter. There was enough information about these bobbins on the Amazon site (what machines they fit) and it was correct. It was the first place I was able to find the correct fit. These are the best quality bobbins I have found for my old Kenmore machine! These are thick, smooth and flat! Unlike other brands I’ve tried that have been thin, rough, and uneven.

    • Much Higher Quality Than Most
After several failed attempts I discovered that most class 15 metal bobbins are made rather poorly with very low tolerances, and very shallow notches. These factors, at least for our Morse 4300, are absolutely unacceptable and we found that only about 8 in 100 were usable, and then only if you put the bobbin into the bobbin winder only one direction. The only brands we've found so far that offer bobbins of quality manufacturing are Bohin and Sewnote. Sewnote seems to have done a higher quality plating job on their bobbins, and it looks like it happened after the notch was ground as opposed to after on the Bohin. Will be buying all of our future bobbin needs from Sewnote! ... show more

When I opened the package I was so happy! The Singer brand are sold out everywhere so I took a chance in these. At first I was excited that they were exactly like my originals. But when I compared them these are about a millimeter taller. My heart sank. I wound it, popped it into the bobbin case, and it turned out to be perfect!! So far, I’ve only used one for a few days.
