  • Excellent product, but...
Color: 5 Clear Pairs
The geto-mimic surface is an excellent design that REALLY resolve the problem of the lubricating effect from skin oil. However, the glue it used to attach to the glass frame is not that desirable. In weeks of wearing, the glue will be squeezed out from the interface area, that you have to manually remove them. However after that, your attachment becomes weaker and eventually your anti-slip pad per se start to slip from the frame. You have to replace it by the next anti-slip pad, but if you need to do it monthly, that will be a headache. My point is, this product, the surface micro-texture, are really good. But if the vendor or manufacturer do some change on the glue, make it better, then it will become a perfect item. Please let me know then, I will purchase the "perfect" version. ... show more

  • These actually work, no slippage
Color: 5 Clear Pairs
I was skeptical. For as long as humans have been wearing spectacles, we've been trying to keep them from sliding down the nose. These do just that! I applied these on my new glasses right before traveling, knowing I'd be working up a sweat walking all over Paris for more than a week on vacation. A true test which these little buggers have passed! I'm not constantly reaching up to reposition my eyeglasses. These are generous in size and easy to cut down to best match the size of the individual nose pieces on your frames. Coming in several thicknesses, I ordered two different ones: regular 1 mm and ultra thin .6 mm to accommodate the different widths across the bridge of the nose. A winner! ... show more

  • Life changing
Color: 5 Clear Pairs
I don't mean to be dramatic, but these were borderline life-changing for me! I've worn glass my whole life, and struggle with contacts. I would get my glasses adjusted so tight to prevent them from slipping, that they'd leave marks behind my ears. Now I don't have to worry about that. I can even workout with my glasses on and they stay put, which I never used to do! I bought the clear one for my tortoise glasses. You can certainly see them on the bridge of my nose, but they don't look out of place. Absolutely love, and highly recommend! ... show more

  • Does exactly what it says it will
Color: 5 Clear Pairs
I wasn't sure what to expect. I bought a wicked cool new pair of glasses but the nose pieces are hard plastic and the bridge is a tad wider than I'm used to. Installed these and not only does the gel make the glasses more comfy, they sit a mm or so further away from my eyelashes so no more constant streaking and a better fit sitting a tiny bit higher on my face. Couldn't be happier with a simple concept. YMMV, but mine is perfect. ... show more

  • Good
Color: 5 Clear Pairs
Work pretty well. My glasses still slip a bit but not nearly as much as before.

  • Great, to a point.
Color: 5 Clear Pairs
Purchased these pads because of the advertising "gecko like hold". And that is true - to a point. The pads do not handle heat well, and on hot days will slip around on the glasses frame.

  • They work well but don't last long
Color: 5 Black Pairs
I've been using these for a bit over a month and since they last 2 weeks at most, I feel I can accurately describe the life cycle now that I'm on my 3rd installation. First, my glasses situation. I recently switched to big black framed glasses after years of wearing small rectangular wire frames with rubber nose pads. On top of that change, I had lots of adjustment issues and the college kid at my ophthalmologist's office messed with the frames so much that the arms have zero clamp on my head. Thus, they skate down my nose the second my head moves. My search for relief lead me to these Setex pads in black. Here's the installation process I've been following: Wipe the frame's nose area with a bit of isopropyl alcohol and let it dry. Then grab a pad with tweezers and ever so carefully place it where you think it should be. Hopefully you get it in the right spot so you don't have to peel it off again. Then do your best to place the other one in roughly the same place on the other side. With some patience, the pads won't be at odd angles or different heights. Now the glasses stick to your face, just as promised. It feels a little weird, like they're suctioned to your face at first, but no more slipping and it's great. A note before I continue with the review: the move to these larger frames gave me a whole world of eye pain that my ophthalmologist blamed on the thickness of the lenses, the size increase, and that my eyes were just used to my old glasses. I went back 4 times for adjustments and finally found a guy who realized they'd measured my head wrong and the center was in the wrong spot. The lenses were replaced but it barely helped; they insisted this was normal and I just had to wear them and get used to the change. Eventually my old glasses broke and I had no option but to wear these so I powered through a couple days of bad headaches and finally they felt normal. At least, until these pads ever so slightly raised the location of the glasses on my face, and brought the headaches back. That's not the pad's fault, but it's something I didn't really think about when purchasing. It was only a short period of discomfort and my eyes once again adjusted and things were fine. Again, not the pad's fault but on the chance this problem really is normal, it's something you might want to keep in mind. Back to these pads, after about a week, you notice they're slipping a bit. Not bad, but if you tilt your head down, they start sliding ever so slightly. A quick wipe of the pad with your finger reveals they've been acting like oil sponges and are feeling a bit slick. Not smooth plastic slick, but slick enough to slide a bit. I should note I don't have an oily face, I'd say my skin is normal and thanks to winter and the pandemic, I haven't left my house or exerted myself so I can't blame sweat or abnormally oily conditions. A few wipes with a finger or maybe a shirt and you'll be back to mostly normal, for now. Jump forward another week and one day your glasses will feel weird on your face and you'll see the adhesive has given up and now the pads are sliding around. Congratulations, you've reached the 2 week maximum life of the pads and now you have to start over with a new set. I'm disappointed in the 2 week life span. I'm on my 3rd set today after a month of use and there's 3 sets left in the container so you get a maximum of 2.5 months out of a purchase. I worry that summer time and some outdoor movement will cut this lifetime in half and at that point, they won't be worth the money. I'll probably go back to the metal frames with rubber pads later this year since this isn't worth the hassle. In conclusion, I'm happy with them now, not sure how I'll feel in warmer months but the 2 week annoyance is better than daily sliding glasses. TLDR: Put them on carefully, in 1 week they'll get slick with oil, in 2 weeks the adhesive gives up and you get to start over. Still better than slippery glasses. ... show more

  • It works!
Color: 5 Black Pairs
Purchased these and they have greatly reduced slippage. Others have noted the pads fall off and you need to clean the surface and replace with a new one. I wear my glasses evenings after work (wearing contacts all day), so if you wear glasses all day every day you'll need to replace the pads more often. For me, replacing the pads once in a while is not a problem and saving your glasses (and the cost of replacing them) outweighs the inconvenience some are complaining about. ... show more
