Not as thigh high enough as I would like them, but they are ok. Soft, but they roll down after having them on minutes after. They DO NOT stay up and are NOT control top. Came in a neat box of 3 pairs. Ordered the black, cream and grey. They all have stripes. The black has white stripes, the grey has burgundy stripes and cream has black stripes. Would recommend if your just looking for tall socks to keep your legs warm, but would not if your looking for thigh high socks that stay up. ... show more

My first impression of these was the packaging. The box was of course a little beat up from shipping, but opening them up to see them so neatly folded was actually impressive. The box is also recyclable. Good start. Second was the feel of them. They feel like standard athletic socks, even down to the toes. They’re not bumpy on the inside like some socks I have when they transition to the foot. It’s the same texture all the way down. They aren’t super thick but aren’t super thin, and relatively soft (as far as socks go). As far as durability goes, I think it’s a good material. As for how the actual socks feel when they’re on, they’re nice and snug around my calves and thighs, but not too snug. It’s a pretty good feeling, because you can’t really feel them that much. They are, however, a little tight on my thighs BUT I have very large thighs. The tights fit up to about three inches above my knee. They stop where my thigh is 18 inches/46 centimeters around. I’m not a big girl, but my thighs are. As with many thigh high socks, if you have larger legs like me you will probably need some sort of adhesive or fashion tape to hold them up, as they started rolling (literally) down as I walked in them. I often use garter belts, but I don’t feel like they would fit the sportier aesthetic. The material also feels a little rougher on the knee area when bending my knees, but it may be a large leg thing. I don’t foresee it as an issue. As for where they come up on me, I’m also a 5’1 girl with larger thighs. Not sure how that may help anyone reading this, but it might. I did notice that there are some stringy bits on the tops inside, but I have a feeling that is probably just where the material was sewn together and tied off. You can’t see it from the outside. There were also a few uneven spots where the different colors met. You can see it when you wear them, but unless you’re looking for it you won’t notice it. All in all, I would definitely recommend these socks. ... show more
