    • An excellent drone for beginners and experts alike!
Let me begin with saying that I am in no way an expert at flying drones. So far, my track record consists of 3 successful flights and 2 failed flights ending with the drone stuck in a tree. I lost one drone to the rain and almost lost another to the snow, so I turned to look for one that was much easier to fly and act as a replacement for my other two drones(one is still stuck in a tree!). When I unboxed the drone, I was, at first, quite surprised by the size of it. I thought it wasn't going to be able to handle the low winds that the other drones I've had succumbed to during test flights, but that was all proven wrong when I took it to my local park. Since it's usually empty during the winter, I've always used it to test out R/C toys and test their outdoor endurance, since we have a few too many trees around the neighborhood that are quite large. On the day I tested it, the wind speed was quite low, which was perfect for the drone to fly in(there is a warning saying not to fly it in wind speeds above grade 4, or a moderate breeze.) The instructions were very easy to read, so I was able to connect the drone to the remote with no problem. Connecting the phone to the drone, however, requires turning off mobile data, something which is not mentioned in the directions. Going through with all that was needed to connect the phone to the drone, including the turning off of mobile data, allowed me to see the drone's camera live. The picture is excellent for a drone like this, but there is a few seconds of delay between an action performed and what the camera displays, although I'm unsure if it has something to do with my phone. I've also noticed that the range it has is rather short, since if you move the drone too high or too far away, maybe about 50 feet or so away, then the picture starts to stutter and lag until it finally freezes and causes the app you need to use(GX-FPV) to crash, forcing you to land the drone and reopen it. Photos seem to also not be supported by some apps on the phone, so moving it to a computer might be the best idea, as well as putting an SD card in it to ensure that they're saved properly. Now, for the flight experience. I was very satisfied with how well the drone flew. It can easily ascend and descend, as well as hover in a single place in the somewhat light winds blowing through, although trimming was needed for it to remain stable. Using the controls on the phone to allow it to stabilize itself and remain hovering also helped out, since there doesn't seem to be a button on the remote which allows you to activate certain features that are available when the phone is connected to it. Auto take-off and landing worked just fine as well, and the drone, although it did have some trouble figuring out that it was on the ground at first, possibly due to the legs the drone comes with, was able to properly land on the ground and come to a halt. It seems to also automatically lock itself, preventing an accidentally ascension when attempting to retrieve it. To unlock it, you simply press the lock button on the bottom left pad of the controller, and the drone's propellers will spin slowly, making it easier to take off. Headless Mode was also very easy to adjust to, and the drone's orientation was the exact same as the remote, as promised. It can also easily perform stunts, taking the time to raise itself in the air a bit before doing a flip to ensure that it does not hit any obstacles in the middle of the trick as it will lose altitude after performing the flip. As for the battery life, it lasted about as long as promised, maybe even longer in some cases as I got around 17 minutes of flight time from mine as opposed to the estimated 13 minutes, even with the camera on. When it is low on power, the drone's lights will blink and slowly begin to dim out. It will land itself and will not be able to take off again, even if it is turned off and back on, so when it is low on power, it truly is low on power. I suggest letting it drain out completely before trying to charge it again. As for the remote, it is quite comfortable in my hands and is easy to use, although more labeling of the buttons upon it would be very helpful. All buttons can be reached without needing to shift the position of the remote in your hands, even with gloves on, so it makes for an excellent experience, although I wish it was made of more durable material as I had accidentally dropped mine when returning from the successful test flight, causing the back of the right side to shatter, leaving a gaping hole in it, although the remote still works as intended, it's just far more uncomfortable to use due to the jagged plastic pieces left behind as a reminder of my folly. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase. I would suggest anyone seeking to dabble in the vast realm of drones to consider purchasing this drone for their first flight as it is very easy to handle and makes for a very fun experience for anyone! On top of this, it can easily be folded to take with you across long distances unlike most drones which can be quite large, yet it still retains its mobility and speed once unfolded. Contacted these folks on numerous occasions, and each time they returned a message it was from a different individual, and it was clear they hadn't spoken with each other about my issue.I initially Noticed the box wasn't new and the remote had smudges and looked used as well. Next I was looking for spare Parts, couldn't find any on Amazon or elsewhere. Asked them about spare parts and they said they have them in stock and offered a discount for selling me a previously opened item. I thought we were finally getting on the right track, . But, no follow Up and still have no idea where I could find them regularly. I also went to the manufacturer s site and they seem to be all chaotic offering way too many products. I wouldn't purchase this item from this vendor or at all .The drone itself seems fun and was purchaed to keep my motor skills sharp when I can't get flight time with my professional quality one. I will say though, that after purchasing this I have found many others with the exact same features for significantly less. I would choose a different manufacturer and another vender if I looking for this type again. .UPDATE- 5|3|2018. Went to fly the drone a third time and it wouldn't even recalibrate for quite a few trys.The instructions are vague, so they aren't bmuch help.When I finally did, I pushed the stick to take it up and away itt went. No eturn to home, No rudder, no stop, No functionality whatsoever. It went and barely caught the corner of my neighbors roof, flipped itself over, dtherwise it would've flown away. It's priced just a lil too high for the quality you get. I'm contacting them immediately to return my money or send a working product ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So the drone and remote itself seem to be great products. I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy the drone feels as well the controller! The quality of the controller blew me away. For the price this is a SWEET little drone. Personally the LED lights are my favorite. They are very bright and light up the night. Unfortunately, when I received the drone I received no charger and there is only 3 propellers attached. There is a white, octagonal piece the connects the propellers to the motor that was not attached or else I would just use one of the extra props. That were provided. Sadly, I have not been able to fly the drone. What can be done to fix this? Really I'd just love to fly this drone and the parts to fix it or a new drone altogether would.be great. Will attach pictures. I really would love to try some more products from Pyle!! Thanks, Colby ... show more

    • It's an okay first time Drone
Product arrived in a timely manner. It was easy to put together. I watched videos on how to fly it. However, I tried flying it and as soon as it gets airborne it vears to the right and is hard to compensate to get it back to going straight. I know with some practice I can do that but I bought my husband a drone as well and his doesn't do that. I'll keep trying and post an update as to how it goes. ... show more

Instruction manual not very informative. Also camera stopped working and customer service from manufacturer is not good. They try and waste your time with pointless emails asking for one piece of information at a time. Like what's the product number, end email, then what's wing with it, end email, then can you take a picture, end email, etc. By the time you finally send them all the information they regret to inform you that the 30 day warranty is up. And you gotta pay to ship it to them. ... show more
