I love using chain for accents on wire wrapped cabochons, resin jewelry, and earrings, I rarely use these chains as necklaces. The chain finish and strength is very nice. The lengths are very close or over on promised lengths of 120" each. Most chains were over 140", and only one was 118". The jump rings have a nice finish and are strong. They are firm to open and close. The reported number of jump rings per color promised is listed as 30, all were actually over 40 in this kit, with only one coming close at 34. I always say, it's okay to be over the promised amount but not under. Accurate is fine, over is a nice surprise but under is a no no. All of the jump rings are in good condition. The lobster clasps are nice, some more firm to operate than others. We are promised 10 in each color and the counts are all 10, however there is one silver and one gold clasp that is not in working condition. The chains are strong, and can be cut to a custom length. The metal is not brittle, but rather can be bent with a pliers. So far I have has no issues with the findings and chain in this kit. This is a good value. I am happy with this order. Very, very nice. There are enough findings and chain here to make several necklaces so this is a great value. The metal is not the very best but is not super cheap quality, either. I especially love the rose gold. You get 1 of those, 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 darker colors like an antique silver look. I always use the lobster claw clasps because I think they hold the best. The only thing I would like to see included would be bigger rings to use with the clasps. The ones included are fine for connecting parts but would be very difficult to put the necklace on trying to get it through that tiny hole. ... show more

This chain is very small. I like that itโ€™s very small, but make sure you understand how small it is before you get it. As far as I can tell itโ€™s fairly strong. One of the rolls looks tarnished but I think itโ€™s just the style. I really like how it comes with lobster clasps and jump rings that match every tone of chain. The pliers that come with it are pretty good, too, at least for my purposes. You donโ€™t need any heavy duty wire cutters, I cut through this chain with cheap nail clippers. ... show more

I was very pleased with all of the different, basic pieces in this kit. All of the jump rings and lobster clasps are of decent quality in a half dozen different colors. Those colors match the accompanying small linked chains that are very delicate looking, yet strong. Adding a decent pair of jewelry pliers was a nice touch. What impressed me the most was the value for the money. Everything you need to create the costume jewelry of your choice is included at a good price. There are six different colors of chains with matching lobster claw clasps and o jump rings. You also get a pair of pliers, (which I really needed). The chains are the perfect size for necklaces.
