I was trying to cut my own hair with a hand mirror and it took me six hours. This mirror cut down that time to one and a half hours. A 3 way mirror is fundamental to cutting your own hair, I would argue. I wish that the handles on the door could be adjust to make the mirror fit on the door just right. Got this for my boyfriend who loves cutting up his own hair and let’s just say he LOVED IT he’s been wanting one and it’s definitely saved up more time for him and makes it easier to see the back although it would be nice if it had the led across the whole top but either way it works perfect😌

This mirror is very heavy, also, if you hang it on a door, you won't be able to close the door. You can hang with the permanent hooks provided, but if like me your home is tight for space, it may be difficult to find a good well-lit spot. Yes, I said "well-lit"; even though it has a light, you still want it someplace that is well lit - The LEDs are very bright, and not necessarily pleasant to look at while you are trying to focus on cutting your hair or shaving. It is nice to get a better view when cutting or shaving, but you need to think critically about where you will use it. As I said it is kind of heavy and when you hang it on a door or medicine cabinet, it will not sit flush, also, it is kind of heavy. Likewise, if you attach it permanently to a door or wall, you need to make sure it is a space that makes sense for your needs. If I bought it again, I think I would skip the LED on and just go with the regular non-LED option. ... show more

Great product. I moved to the middle of nowhere and don’t have a barber here so I’ve just decided to give myself my own shape-ups. If you’re in a situation where you have to give yourself your own cuts…..this makes life so much easier. Aside from the fact that you can reflect pretty much any angle of your face and neck….I just love that you can step into the mirror and get really close to it. If you’re cutting in front of a mirror with your bathroom counter sink in front of you and can’t get close enough to your mirror, this solves the problem. No need to lean over your counter anymore. Just step up into this thing. Door hooks on the back are great. Packable, but I’d appreciate if they could find a way to make it a little slimmer. It’s just on the fence of being too annoying to pack in my opinion. The 3 way reflection is like a 270 degree view of your head. You adjust the two side mirrors and reflect against each other to get the view. It takes a little getting used to because it’s going to show your reflection in reverse. So all the cutting motions look like you’d go in reverse. Don’t do that. Align your clipper or blade with the front mirror….trust your regular stroke in whatever area you’re cutting. Awkward at first and takes some getting used to but after a few tries you figure it out. Honestly I’ve got it down and feel like I get my lines good enough where I don’t really care if I find a barber or not. So this thing saved me on future spend. I have been cutting my own hair for a long time without this type of mirror. Cutting hair on the back of the head is guesswork, but I became pretty good at it over time. However, when I came across this mirror I decided to give it a try. I cut my hair today using this mirror for the first time. The included LED light is not very useful because it’s too bright and causes glare. Overall I found the mirror useful in cutting hair more precisely than I could do before. My wife also found it useful for dyeing her hair. I wish I had bought the one without LED lights. ... show more
