  • Beware of color variance.
I've used a couple different brands of mica powder now, and Seisso is far and away my favorite. The colors are strong and intense, and you can do a lot with very little. I customize action figures as my main crafting hobby, and I use mica powder as a paint for rubber parts like capes and skirts. Seisso has the best coverage of any mica powder that I've used, doing in 1-2 coats what other mica powders need 4-6 coats to do. (Looking at you, DecoRom.) The one negative thing I have to say about this powder is that while it does photograph as a nice cherry red, in person, it is very much hot pink. It happens with internet purchases, I'm not mad about it, but just something to be mindful of. ... show more

  • This is not Mica Powder
Size: 3.5 OZ Color: Silver White
Mica powders are sparkly, sort of like very fine glitter. They're used to give a metallic or shimmery pearl-like effect. This is a shimmer pigment which is not mica powder. I was misled to believe I was getting mica powder because in the first line, it was called mica powder. If you use it in polymer clay, it disappears into the clay without leaving the sparkly shine. I compared this with real mica powder, and this is a pigment, not a mica powder. I also purchased the silver black SEISSO, and it definitely has a place in working with polymer clay. While not sparkly, it is a dark pigment that can be applied and rubbed off, leaving clearly defined ridges and surfaces. I would rate this a 5, but I was only given one chance to rate my 2 purchases, so I averaged. White is ok if you are not expecting sparkly mica powder, and just want to add white pigment to your clay. Have not tried that yet. Charcoal is a great clay product, used to rub on and define crevices and ridges and quite a deal for polymer clay hobbyists like me. ... show more

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Size: 1.76 OZ Color: Shining Pearl White
This mica powder has a very bold shimmer that I personally love. It shimmers to the point that when I opened the the container the first time, it kind of "poofed" out and for the rest of the day-I sparkled! This is much better than some of the other micas I've used that merely stained my fingers. I'd definitely buy more, and may even look for other colors in the near future :) ... show more

  • Clumpy and moist
Size: 3.5 OZ Color: Silver White
it is very clumpy like it's been damp, it doesn't mix with epoxy well at all.

  • Do not recommend for cold process soap making
I use micas for soap coloring and this product resulted in a too dark blackish green color. Even a 1/4 teaspoon to 16 ozs of soap base (when 1 teaspoon is standard ratio) is too dark. And though I was OK, but not crazy, about the deep, forest green result in my tobacco and bay leaf soap and frankincense and pine needle fir soap initially, it turned grayish black as the soap cured. ... show more

  • looks great but it is messy to use
Size: 3.5 OZ Color: Silver White
I liked the way this powder looks, but it every time I open the container powder get everywhere so beware. It gives a nice pearl look, but make sure if you add dye to it that you fully mix your color in otherwise the color will not stay in place.
