I'm using these to make routing connections on a patch bay in my portable recording rig and they work well for that purpose. I tested each cable when I got them and all tested fine. I like the connectors because they can be opened up for inspection if there is a problem and the wiring needs to be resoldered. Since the patch cables going into the patch bay are constantly being plugged and unplugged it's important to me that they are repairable if needed. So far that has not been required. Ok the obvious advantage these cords have is the color. They make it easy to identify which cord goes where at a glance. Upon inspection I was pleased to see the ends all have removable housings and wires are secured after solder with shrink wrap making for a quick and easy repair vs throwing the cord away if it begins shorting out. They are also the perfect length for connecting inline devices that aren't right next to each other. ... show more
