Shocked to be coming back for a second one

My order history tells me we bought this candle exactly 10 months ago. I bought it because we were selling/staging our house and I thought the box would be perfect for a nightstand vignette I was making. And it was, the box is seriously attractive. What I DIDN"T anticipate was how amazing the candle would be. This Japanese Quince is a gorgeous scent - once our realtor smelled it, she asked that we burn it during showings and I've found it quite addictive ever since. The throw on this is really good, as well. I recently purchased a more expensive candle in a little local boutique and it is wasted unless I'm sitting nearby it. This will fill a closed-door room like a bedroom quite quickly and when we burned it in our old house in the open space of hall/living room/kitchen/dining room, we'd smell it throughout after 20 minutes or so. It's not like I've been burning it every day for these last 10 months. We did move, so there were many weeks in there where it was all U-hauls and boxes. But it did get used a LOT, both for the aforementioned showings, then here at the new house we use it both in the restroom but also carry it about because I really don't get tired of the scent. So this is fabulous longevity. My frame of reference here is a brand I love to get because I like their scents, Sand + Fog. In the future, I will continue to buy those since one can purchase them cheaply and it's just fun to have a variety. But I will *always* repurchase this candle, as well, because the price is actually really good between the throw and the longevity.

I love the scent. The glass container is clean and classy. The overall package is designed well and is giftable. I grew up with actual quinces. My mother wasn’t a fan but she kept one or two in the back seat of her car so that I can enjoy the long car rides from my grandparents to our home when I was young. They were in our bathroom and sometimes my mom marinaded them in sugar to make them into tea jam. Basically what I’m trying to say is.. I bought this in nostalgia of my childhood but this candle does not smell like quinces. However, I love it. I’m not sure how to describe the scent. It’s on the fruity citrusy side. It’s neither warm or cool or too sweet. I can imagine this being a great gift if you didn’t know the receivers taste in scent but you insist on giving them a scented candle. It is clean, fresh, pleasant, and polite. Not sure this will help anyone but it smells a lot like MOR cosmetics, black plum cherry hand cream but I don’t think this scent is cherry or plum. (The bottom of the packaging says this candle is from 2014)

Luxe, Long-Lasting, and One of the Best Scents Out There

Incredible scent—bright, fruity, and elegant without being overly sweet. Fills the room quickly and burns clean with no sooty edges. One of those candles that feels high-end from the packaging to the last burn.

lovely candle

It does remind me of Diptyque Baies, though not exact. Gives off very similar vibe. I have them both and smelled them side by side and was happy with what I got. A little more on the citrus side. Considering the price I will purchase again. It arrived in pretty packaging and would make a nice gift. I love that the glass votive has no writing on it and a white toile de jouy print on it that’s very pretty and subtle.

First of all, I love the scent. I burned it for years in my New York apartment, where I got it from a local store. Its worth the money, its the best scent ever. But also I need to give 5 stars to my shipper. I ordered the 10.5 oz candle. I received the 2 oz candle and wrote to him that he made a mistake. He wrote me back immediately and said keep the candle I will send you another, and 2 days later (today) I got the large one. So I have both now and I am very happy! :) But the shop really honored my order and couldnt be more helpful. So 5 stars. Get the candle, and get if from these guys. They are honest salespeople. :)

Japanese Quince Candle - Disappointing Drop in Quality I have regularly purchased the Seda France Japanese Qunince candle (and diffuser oil) for 15+ years and the quality has been great. This last purchase was awful. There is no scent and the wax is different. I did question the product in a review, and the seller removed it - trying again to see if this one makes it through. I do think customers should be made aware of the subpar product - it would have saved me some money.
