***I needed to come back & edit my review. I ordered more needles & used the pen a lot gentler than the first time. It work great & I accomplished what I was trying to do - which was make a curly layer for a newborn prop! What a piece of poo!!! Used it one time & most of the needles broke within the first use. Tiny pieces of needle everywhere & now the needles won’t extend far enough to felt anything! What a waste of $$$!

Have already used this for 3 felting projects. Works very well for felting large areas as well as making the project a bit more firm at the finish. It can tend to shape the project, which can be a good or bad thing depending (I think it's because of the plastic that's pushing on the wool as you use the tool). Very content with this tool. With this it's key to be careful and stab the wool straight in, not at an angle. I'm a newbie but haven't broken a single needle because I was careful about this.

I got this set looking for a fix for my sofa and it's many snags from our cat. It worked perfectly and this set is great for the price. I really love the little tube and case it comes in to prevent loss. These are some of the sharpest relying needles I've ever purchased too! pretty annoyed by this purchase. The first one I got was delivered broken. The pins had broke in transit. Package was fine so I thought that was weird. So I returned it and got another one. A few pokes in to my felting and two needles broke. I know what im doing and I was being super gentle. Pretty disappointed and will be returning this again.

Don't expect directions. Or an invoice. Or anything other than an envelope with Chinese writing. Came inside a clear plastic tray, with a vial of needles, that didn't fit the vial- so they were all loose in the package. As for the finger guards, I hope you have small fingers. They are also not the ones pictured. Not impressed by quality or any other aspect.

GREAT for larger areas! I use mine on ALMOST every project that I do! I am a complete beginner to this wonderful craft, but have found this tool VERY useful. The ONLY thing I dislike is the "safety" feature of the plastic surrounding the needles. They need to make two different versions, one with the plastic and one without.

I was very satisfied with this purchase. I didn't realize out IMPORTANT those two finger covers are when you are felting. I have stuck myself umpteen times without them. The needles are good and strong and come in a container (so you don't stick yourself looking for them in your craft bag or carryall). it did take awhile to come to me, i think it was from China so expect a long delay.
