Love the carder
Great carder well made!!

Wonderful small carder
I'd never used a drum carder before, and was hoping to buy something wider, but the wider models were sold out. However, the Wild Ashford is terrific, and made light work of some raw alpaca which I acquired recently. I'm very pleased with this device. The pictures show before and after using the Wild Drum Carder.

When you can’t use hand cards
Well constructed, worth every penny. My arms and shoulders are happier not dealing with hand carding. Can card more fiber too!

Makes short work of carding wool
I started dyeing my own wool in small batches for needle felting. I am old and not really up to doing a lot of carding by hand I have discovered. This carder works really well and I am very happy with my purchase. I feel it was money well spent.

Sturdy and lightweight, gets the job done
This carder passed the challenge of a long (8 in) and fine alpaca fiber. I achieved a 2 ounce bat (60 gr). Safe to have around children as the tines are not sharp. Easy to carry. Grips a wooden table nicely. Stayed in place with just one clamp. Fun and easy to use. Comes with a nice little hand carder to keep the smaller drum clear. The brush attachment for the bigger drum is essential for keeping the fibers in place and for getting a thicker bat. This brush adds to the price but is definitely worth paying for.

I haven't had a chance to try this one yet ...
I haven't had a chance to try this one yet, but I have used the Wild Carder before and was very impressed with it. When I have finished ginning my cotton, I will be cranking out bats and sliver and am looking forward to it!
