This is one sturdy, thick table!! It’s going to be around a long time. The pictures don’t do it justice. It fits right in with my beachy decor. It has the appearance of painted wood without the flaking of the paint or wood. I really love it.

This is probably the worst thing I’ve ever assembled in my life (almost three hours for the coffee table and two end tables). But I loved how they looked so I powered through. The end result is they look fab and they are sturdy as heck. They have a great weight to it so they don’t feel cheap at all. Besides they terrible assembly, my only other remark would be the “distressed” finish on it. It’s not really the most convincing distressing I’ve seen, but I still love them nonetheless. Final note: color is definitely off-white (borderline cream). It still works with my living room, but may be a problem for others. I do recommend checking out the amazon warehouse deals as we were able to save about $150 between 3 pieces. ... show more

Seems like good quality and wasn’t wildly difficult to put together, so I’m generally happy with this little table. I am a bit bummed, however, that it’s a lot more yellow in person than it looks online (certainly I knew it was a creamy off-white, just didn’t think it was essentially a pale yellow). While I love the coffee table and am happy with it as a furniture piece.. Whomever designed the assembly and packaging of this coffee table enjoys the suffering of others. To start when you open the box the foam its packaged with falls apart during shipping. I have vacuumed my living room 3 times and am still finding tiny foam pieces. I had to vacuum of each and every piece since it sticks to the furniture pieces like static. Highly recommend opening this in a place that is easy to clean and away from children and pets. Next the assembly..... attached is a picture of the inside bottom of each layer of table where you need to tighten a nut. There are a total of 16 of these nuts that need tightened. The included wrench is utter garbage as you are turning it sideways and the wrench is about as big as the hole they cut for you. Save yourself time and headache and use your own wrench like is pictured. And they say not to use a power drill on the screws for the top part of the table. I am convinced this is purely to continue your suffering. Its nearly impossible to screw them by hand with the predrilled holes. I caved and got the power drill to end the torture. All in all it's a beautiful table and I love the piece but you definitely have to work for it. Don't recommend if you don't have patience to assemble. Removed a star because of the torture factor. ... show more

    • Looks Great, Quite Sturdy, Giving Off Fumes, Very Difficult to Assemble

Pros: 1) Appearance: Looks great and is quite sturdy. This coffee table would stand up to a Chris Farley (RIP!) in-full-Matt-Foley-Mode flop. The color is a creamy off-white. Depending on the lighting it can appear slightly yellow. But maybe that is just our imagination... 2) Size: We are very glad we bought a big table as we quickly learned how important that is for board games and puzzles. And 8 human feet resting on it. Cons: 1) Off-gassing: This thing is off-gassing considerable fumes. Upon assembly, I noticed the strong fumes. Maybe the industrial paint coating is still drying? Two days later...if you are standing in the room, you may not smell the fumes from 10 feet away, but if you sit by the table watching TV the fumes bothered all three of us after about 30 minutes. The smell starts off as paint fumes and eventually morphs into burnt cigarette or ashtray smell. Hoping it goes away. Buy this and leave it on a porch for a couple weeks to (hopefully) finish the off-gassing. 2) Assembly: Very difficult. I am 47 and quite handy. I have a wide selection of tools. I have put together probably 50-100 items of this type, with screws, cams and bolts. I have a toolbox full of the little wrenches that accompany these products. Point is, I know what I'm doing. And I actually enjoy putting things together. But not this one...It's not that the directions are bad. They're not. It's not that the wood pieces don't fit together well. They do. It's that the actual maneuvers you need to make to tighten the hardware require small hands, extreme precision, and creative grips on the tools. The wrench they provide is the correct wrench but the bolts you need to turn are buried in a circular cutout that does not permit the wrench to move freely. There's only ONE possible way to get the wrench on the nut properly, and you have to alternate the method by which you hold the wrench for each and every turn. This easily added on an hour to what should have been a 45 minute assembly. Undecideds: 1) Depending on the lighting it can appear slightly yellow. But maybe that is just our imagination... ... show more

My hubs and I LOVE this table. We think it looks exactly like the advertisement and have no complaints. We measured our living room couch beforehand, and we knew the exact height, width, and length we needed for our living area. Honestly, if someone has a complaint about the height or size of this table, they didn't do their due diligence at home. As for assembly, I understand why some people found it challenging; however, my hubs and I imagined such a sturdy piece would require time and effort. With the two of us working together, the process was not bad at all. We found the directions easy to understand and all pieces accounted for. We also used our own screwdrivers which perhaps circumvented potential frustration. Overall, this table was DEFINITELY worth the price we paid. We looked everywhere for a similar style table and the ones we liked were often DOUBLE the price. I'd rather use an hour of my day putting furniture together (and then vacuuming tiny styrofoam pieces) than spend double or more on a coffee table of similar quality. The table is beautiful, sturdy, and functional. So, so happy! ... show more
