A really novel and convenient way to ship things...albeit pricey!

I used these to ship oddly shaped items that need padding (books, smaller charms that I didn't want jostling about in a mailer, etc.) to eliminate the need to purchase bubble wrap. Really pleased with it overall! Pros: + easy to use. Braindead simple which I appreciate. Almost foolproof + doesn't stick to itself easily, but once the matching grey parts touch it adheres quite firmly — I was initially worried about it coming apart and tested a small "package" I'd cut away, and was shocked that in maybe 10 seconds it had already stuck together so firmly that I couldn't rip it open with my bare hands. + padding is relatively thick and will probably be enough for most people's needs, barring anything particularly fragile + (important to me) mailing labels stick to the outside surface!!! hate having to use shipping tape to secure labels on mailers as it looks tacky in my opinion + looks nice, even if it doesn't necessarily look professional per se. The blue is light and refreshing, but would probably not be the best for medium or larger businesses Cons: - does not cut cleanly in my experience, which leaves a raw edge that I have to chip away at to make it look more presentable. Not a huge dealbreaker, but definitely annoying - pulling the roll open to wrap/package something gets fairly loud. Again not a dealbreaker, but annoying - pricey for the amount you get. I paid ~$9 for the smallest size roll available to get a feel for if this works for me and I've so far used about half of it to package just three relatively small (maybe 8.5x11" at most, if I'm being generous) items. This makes me a bit wary to buy again. Overall this item does require you to weigh what is more important to you. The convenience factor of this is amazing, even though not having to faff about with shipping tape dispensers isn't worth a huge premium for me. Where this item really comes through is not having to utilize a separate bubble wrap, which I personally find bulky and annoying to deal with. That isn't quite enough to get me to spring for this again anytime soon, but this is a great option to keep in mind if selling oddly shaped items, or things that might be hard to find a well-shaped box for that keeps the item secure (books, for instance, are brilliant for this). ... show more

Couldn't get back into my package if I tried, and I have! Great seal!
I see people saying that it SEEMS like it's not protective, and it SEEMS like someone can just open it back up. Well I have actually used this stuff for my eBay store orders and let me tell you, I love it! I've shipped lots of things in this roll and they have all arrived safe with no complaints. If you have a fragile item or something that can be squished, all you have to do is get some extra bubble wrap or some other protection and then wrap it up. As for the people saying they think people can get into it and just seal it back up.. HAH! I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY! I say this because I forgot the packing slip for an order this week, and tried to pry it back open to slip it in, but nope. I would've had to rip it up as when the sides stick together, if you don't try to open it back up right away (before you press it together) then you're not going to be able to get back into your package. I don't understand how it works but it does! It sticks to itself but not the item. It's great and it's saved me a ton on shipping instead of finding a tiny box, or without having to get a million different sized poly mailers. If I wanted all the sizes of poly mailers that I truly need, I'd be out at least $50. This stuff is great, I just wish they had more widths for clothes and whatnot. My other big complaint is the price!! Not only is it pretty high for what it is but it changes CONSTANTLY! I can't stand sellers that choose to do this but it's so convenient that I will wait for a sale like I did this time. I've gotten both sizes rolls now and that's my only issue, is the price. Both rolls are priced at about $1 per 1 foot. That's way more than a poly mailer and some bubble wrap would be. So only get this if it's on sale. ... show more

BEST PACKING MATERIAL I HAVE EVER FOUND!
I used some of this to protect fragile rocks and crystals that I sent in a box. It didn't take up nearly the space bubble wrap does. I wrapped especially fragile ones before using this in napkins or some thin packing. It does stick to itself as promised but can be adjusted if you haven't pressed it all the way to complete seal. I had worried about that. I was so happy to find how easy it is to cut to desired size, and if you cut off a strip of it, but only need a portion to wrap a small thing, it is easy to use the other portion to wrap something else in. Very versatile! I haven't tried wrapping a book in it to send without a box, but I think it will work well for that too. I hope it is easy for recipient to open each of the many specimens I mailed. Will buy more. Was surprised how little I used, and how little was wasted when trimmed. You want a good seal, and get one! ... show more

Pleasantly Surprised

I sell a variety of clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories on Poshmark and eBay, and was looking for a more flexible option to use when an item(s) don't really require a box, but require more than a poly mailer. I also wanted something I could use when I'm low/out of USPS or regular boxes, so I thought I'd see how this product pans out. I was very nervous when I shipped my first item using this wrapping, but all must've been well as I received a 5-star rating and nice comment on how well the item was packed. I've since shipped about 2 more items with this wrapping and no complaints yet, just 5-star ratings. I'm amazed at how well this product adheres to itself and actually stays put. I've even tried to pull the sealed sides open to test how well it adheres and could not get it open without cutting into it. I love the versatility in this one wrapping as it seals and protects all in one--no additional padding or packaging needed. Excellent Shipping Solution

This is the best and easiest packaging I have to ship out products. This is great to ship books and oddly shaped items. It's not sticky. You can adjust an item on the wrap just fine. Then you press down around the item and it seals. Theres no way to open the package without scissors after that. So your shipment will definitely be safe as it travels. I saw a few reviewers say it didn't seal. That's impossible and it's so easy it's not like you can do it wrong. So if you were thinking of buying this, do it, You'll be happy you did. There is one down side and that is price. I only get an average of 7 shipments out of these. For the same price you can get 50 poly mailers or 25 bubble mailer envelopes. The up side is that this product is an all in one. So your items are protected without having to add anything. It also looks really nice and represents you well as far as presentation of your packaging goes. ... show more

New "Go-To" for packaging

I wasn't exactly optimistic when I ordered this, but based on the other reviews and my need to always try something new I decided to try it. I shipped five packages with it last night - all odd dimensions. For those who ship odd shaped items and don't want to have a stock of boxes, this is absolutely perfect. The real savings comes in with items that are unusual in size by avoiding the flat rate packaging and being able to arrange the items however they fit best. The material adhered to itself perfectly and looks great in terms of packaging. I would recommend leaving at least 1/2 inch around the item and giving a firm press around the edges to make sure it adheres and seals properly and then a quick trim with scissors to make the edges even. My only criticism is that 10 feet of this material doesn't go as far as you'd think, so be prepared and make sure to measure carefully. If they could make this a little cheaper or increase the size to 20ft, I would probably never buy boxes or padded mailers again. ... show more
