    • Motor is toast.
This timing kit was installed by an ASE certified tech only 4000 miles ago and the guides just fell apart yesterday. I only use synthetic Mobil 1 so lubrication was not the issue. Motor is destroyed because I thought I'd save a few bucks by getting this garbage kit. Lesson learned. You get what you pay for. ... show more

    • Cost effective so far so good Update 20 months and went bad
The only issue I have with the kit is the chain doesn't have colored links that match the gear markers which makes it a little difficult to easily line up everything. I used the Cloyes website to get really good instructions. Update 20 months later and timing chain jumped 2 teeth luckily no engine damage, pulled engine back apart and found one of the chain guides had broken into many pieces and chain was so loose it jumped timing. Since the repair on 2011 Buick Regal 2.4 L engine takes about 8 hours I would suggest buying OEM or Cloyes Kit. ... show more

Works great. Seems to be good quality, no noises, codes cleared. Have used similar kits in the past with so-so luck. This kit seemed a better quality and had good tiing mark visibility

Beware the cam sprockets . Very cheap made. Ears broke just by dropping. Had to use the original ones. But you get what you pay for.chains and guides seam to be ok.buy at your own risk.
