Update Sept 4, 2023: Was driving when I smelled burning rubber and heard a clacking sound. I knew right away it was the the new AC compressor. Turned off AC and got it home. When I turned on AC to test it, the pulley locked up and the belt started smoking. Put the gauges on and it still had a charge. So I I spent my Labor Day taking the compressor out of the van. Clutch is bad. Sent a message to Scitoo on how to return the unit. Will see what kind of response I get. ----------------------- Well packaged. Supplied two new bolts for line connections which were easier to install than the originals. The electrical connector was the same except the tang on one side was in the wrong location. Just took a utility knife and shaved it off and it fit right in. The tangs are just to make sure you do not try to put it in upside down. Unit working great.

When replacing a compressor it is very important to know if the compressor is "pre-charged" with refrigerant oil. This prevents an overcharge of oil in the system. If the compressor is shipped without oil then failure will occur due to a lack of oil. This information is vital to both the performance and life of any A/C compressor. This is a NEED TO KNOW!

The ac clutch bearing on this didn't even last a week. Failed horribly, resulting in me having to evacuate the ac system again. The clutch on this unit looked identical to the one they offer for $40. Weird looking retaining clip, and it looks like the body was damaged or staked during install. Returned this one... Nothing like doing it twice! We didn't even save that much vs going with an oem compressor.
