  • Not 1/50 scale, more like 1/24
It is a nice little forklift with working light and noise but I should have really checked dimensions. Wanted it for an o scale train layout and it is way too big. Grandson now has new forklift to play with.

  • Cute and sturdy for the money
Plan on gluing little Christmas lights on it to give as gifts to my co workers (we work in a warehouse) its damn near the perfect size to make a ornament,, it's almost to sturdy because it may be to heavy to hang on a tree

  • Better than the "real" thing!
My 3 yr old grandson has mentioned several times that he wanted a forklift for Christmas which we think stemmed from visiting his daddy at work and watching the real forklifts zooming around the warehouse. I thought it would be fun to arrange a "real life" ride on a a real forklift. He cried at first at the idea which we thought was from pure excitement, but he clarified that by informing us he didn't want to ride one he wanted one he could PLAY with! However, he had a great time on the real thing running the controls and watching his cargo go up and down and beeping the horn but seemed to be happiest when we came back to Gramma's and I let him open a present from under the tree which was this delightful toy replica of the real thing! His words..."Oh Sank you. It's just what my wanted!" (His exact words no misspelling). As the other reviewers commented, the forks themselves are cheesy brittle plastic and I worry about the "safety" of them for little people on clumsy feet..However, he did not find one thing wrong with his little replica of the real thing and immediately fell in love with his forklift! That's really what it's all about.. I am not disappointed and neither is he!! I definitely recommend this toy to others who have a child interested in moving and shaking the world! ... show more

  • A must for any forklift fan
Yes, the forks are a bit flimsy and one was bent a bit but I taped the pallet to the forks so hopefully that will help reduce damage. This is more for decoration anyhow. Love the telescoping mast. Kind of wish it didn't say forklift but I put a sticker over it.

  • NOISY but well built!
This thing makes noises! Beware. While it's very nicely made and very tough it makes this unbearable noise that don't stop until its ready to stop. That's what I've gathered anyway. I've tried everything to make it shut up once it's set off finally I just put it in a drawer in another room. Seems like any little movement sets the noise off too. I know I can take out the batteries which I have now. It doesn't move on it's own or do anything special at all. It's just a great built toy with annoying noise. I've given it 4 stars because it's well built. The noise and the fact that I thought it might do something neat were the only downfalls. All in all I think I would just say DONT LET THE BATTERIES WORK. ... show more

  • Nice forklift with lights and sounds
Nice forklift. There is a clear pull tab you have to pull out from the bottom that keeps the batteries from touching. Once out you can push the rear wheels down and the forklift light blinks and it makes loading sounds. I was looking all over for a button or something to engage the actions. I read previous reviews and heard about the lights and sounds. The forklift comes with a black plastic pallet plastic tied to the forks (you have to cut plastic to remove pallet) and the forklift also has pullback action and it will zoom forwards on its own really fast! It's like the forklift driver had enough and when you pull back and go he says " I'm outta here!" I had to bend my forks down because they came pointing up a little. Be very careful though forks look flimsy and could break. Forks lift up pretty high and tilt also. Nice cheap toy forklift but not recommended for rough playing. More like a display light play toy. This forklift has pointed parts so be careful if children handle and play with forklift. ... show more
