Got this to replace a 22" screen that was handicapped by old style inputs. My wife wanted something with built in speakers so she could use it as a side screen for YouTube vids and other media, she did not need or want a 5.1 surround system. It just needed to be loud enough to be heard over the laptop cooling fan. For those needs it works. It has the needed speakers, they are not amazing but you can hear people presenting stuff on YouTube (crafting vids/cooking etc) It has physical UP and Down buttons for volume control. Now they are on the right hand side of the screen BEHIND as in on the back side. We are going to use some thin white strips to mark the up and down. It also has a physical power button not surprising. It is only a 1080 screen not 4k, but it also a 24" under 100 bucks. It does have VESA mounting spot on back, which is how it is mounted now. It does use an inline power brick, but that makes the screen thin. She hooked up the screen to some sort of Comcast mini player thing, I guess their version of a streambox. It displayed fine, no flickers streaks or blips. I will try and update this with some screen photos and also the backside showing the mount. Why the mounting, you said it's VESA, well some mounting plates will cover the HDMI ports!! I had to cut mine down to fit. Luckily I have access to a metal work shop. I bought the 24" 2026 version of this monitor. I chose this monitor for it's price ($100 budget), it's speakers, and two HDMI ports. I had few options for under $100 that had speakers. I wanted to use my laptop's screen as a secondary monitor and purchase a 24" primary monitor. My laptop's speakers crackle, so I wanted integrated speakers for the new monitor. I didn't have high expectations for speakers. I'm not really a music person and I don't game, so I just want to be able to hear youtube videos and notification sounds. I wanted two HDMI ports because I'm using this monitor with two laptops. (One laptop for business, the other for personal.) The item description didn't state if there was a HDMI cord included. Rufus AI said there wasn't. Well, Rufus was wrong. The monitor came with an HDMI to HDMI cord, so I have one computer connected so far. I'm satisfied with everything. The monitor's quality exceeded my expectations, though I set them low to match my budget. I'm also satisfied with the speakers. The screws provided to attach monitor to the stand don’t fit in the hole. They strip easily and the rubber grip on the provided screwdriver comes loose and it stops working as a functioning screwdriver. Setting up a monitor took an hour a piece trying to figure out how to modify the horrible QC from the manufacturer. ... show more
