Features

  • Superior 4K Picture: Enter an unrivaled world of color variation, impressive contrasts, and image detail with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160). Sceptre 4K delivers a superior picture with 8 million pixels, four times more than a 1080P Full HDTV.
  • Fast Response Time: Playing fast action games and watching action adventure movies always require fast and accurate pixel response from an LED. With quick response times, ghosting and blurring are reduced so the user can enjoy the display with clarity and precision.
  • Multiple Ports: The DisplayPort accelerates refresh rate up to 70Hz, providing the visual edge you need to defeat the competition during all of your gaming exploits. HDMI 1 delivers sharp 4K images at 60Hz while HDMI 2 and DVI deliver this remarkable resolution at 30Hz. Connect your favorite audio devices with Audio Out.
  • Blue Light Shift: Reduce your monitors blue light to protect you from eye fatigue, irritation and strains. This enables you to work on your documents, watch movies, or play games more comfortably for extended periods.
  • Anti-Flicker: Provides a crisper picture by preventing the backlight from flickering periodically.

  • Be prepared
We use this monitor for our security cameras. Good picture quality. Easy to operate. I headlined this as be prepared as it arrived with no power cord! Contacted Spectre and problem was resolved and was told this happens a lot! Took over two weeks to receive the cord (our other monitor was down at this point which made our security cameras pretty much useless. Who wants to keep monitoring on an ap? Not me!) Told because I contacted them and my husband some how the trouble ticket got lost so no shipment of the first cord. Second call the rep promised would send priority mail and we received it within 3 business days (add 2 days for the weekend to that). If you don't have an urgency for this monitor be prepared for a possible power cord missing. I read the reviews more carefully afterward and same issue as I had. Missing cord. Spectre did come thru for us though and the price of this monitor and quality is 5 stars to me. ... show more

  • No complaints at this price!
Congratulations! You've found the cheapest 4k monitor on Amazon! At least at the time of this writing. Before you click the Buy It Now button let's talk about a few things. First of all, your expectations. Not all monitors are created equal and there is a correlation between better monitors and higher price. So many reviews nitpicking the thing to death and I'm like, It is exactly what it says it is and nothing more, for $200 what else did you expect? So, is it a good monitor? Yes it is. Is it a good monitor for you? Well, that depends. Will your computer run a 4k monitor? Not all computers can. If your computer isn't up to the task it'll work but you'll get all kinds of scaling issues, blurriness, and choppyness. What are you using it for? Games? Probably no good, the refresh rate is 5ms which is pretty basic and many PCs have a hard time keeping up with graphics for games at regular full HD, let alone 4k! Are you a photographer who wants to edit photos for prints or websites? Probably no good. The color accuracy is not perfect so you may end up with prints or web pages coming out slightly different than you expect. It's nothing to take a star off about, just know that the cheapest monitor on Amazon does not compare to professional or gaming monitors. That's not to say that it's slow or the color is bad, and most people wont ever know the difference, it's just not as fast or as good as some more expensive models. It actually looks really great, and I mean both the exterior of the monitor and the display. Better than I expected! Compared to an AOC 4k monitor that I purchased several months ago for $70 more, right off the bat the colors on the Sceptre are even more vibrant and the contrast is better. This is perfect for CAD (which I do a lot of)! The Viewing angle on the AOC is better because there is more glow on the Sceptre when viewed from off angles. It's not a problem at all when you're looking at it straight on. I didn't think I would like the bezels since many monitors now are frameless but it actually doesn't bother me at all now that it's in front of me. Even on frameless monitors there is about 1/4" of black border around the image, and that is the same width of the bezels on the Sceptre, so there really isn't any difference. To wrap this up, this is a good monitor for the money. If you're a gamer and $200 is your budget then you probably need to be looking for a full HD gaming monitor. If you're a photographer or graphic designer you're going to need to invest a lot more than $200. If you're set on 4k and only have $200 to spend, this is the deal for you! It is perfectly functional and is a wonderful upgrade from full HD in my opinion. OH! And it IS visa mount compatable. I don't know who that idiot is who says it is not but I have two of them mounted on a dual arm stand right now. You have to install the standoffs which are included! Maybe that's too much to ask of some people. One last thing, many reviews say an HDMI cable is included. Mine came with A DVI cable which looks similar but is not the same. Not sure if they are shipping with different cables or people are reporting incorrectly. The later seems more likely to me. DVI is what you need for 70hz (which is working fine for me). Your computer may not support DVI so you might need to get another cable such as the better known HDMI cable. ... show more

  • Good value, but included DisplayPort cable was defective
I bought this monitor for my wife to use with her work laptop while working from home. She didn't want to spend too much, and I think this monitor is a good value. It arrived today, so all I can report on is our initial experience. My inspiration for reviewing it is simply to share that the DisplayPort cable was defective. Taken by itself, I don't find this reason enough to dissuade buyers from choosing it. I didn't know it would include the cable, and was pleasantly surprised, even though I purchased one at the same time, knowing I would need one. I setup the monitor using the cable provided, and when my wife started up her laptop the screen would go black every few seconds, and show horizontal lines occasionally. The troubleshooting guide provided didn't list this problem, so I searched the internet for similar experiences. I found a decent troubleshooting guide for the problem, and soon tried the DisplayPort cable I had purchased separately, and the monitor seems to work perfectly now. My only other criticism is with mounting the stand's neck to the back of the monitor. I encountered several problems with this. First, the manual says to first install the neck to the base, and then the neck to the monitor. I wasn't able to attach the neck to the monitor with this sequence. I had to disassemble the base from the neck, and attach the neck to the monitor first. Even then, I found it difficult to attach the neck to the monitor. It was not obvious whether the problem had to do with the closeness of the screw heads to the back of the monitor, resulting in the screws being cocked at an angle relative to the threads they needed to find, or if the screw threads or nut threads were imperfectly cut, or what. It is also worth noting that I was impressed that Spectre includes a screwdriver for the job; however, it is a bit small. To get the neck screws to start in the monitor's threads, I had to use a larger screwdriver, so I could apply more pressure while starting the screws. I also found I needed the larger screwdriver to get enough torque on the screws to tighten them adequately to fasten the neck securely. However, once attached it was simple to screw the base to the neck, and complete the installation. Hopefully, the monitor will provide years of reliable service, and decent performance. Best of luck to you all in making your monitor choice. ... show more
