Description

Sceptre’s C505B-QSN168 49-inch 120Hz Curved Monitor - Immerse Yourself! Get ready to throw yourself into every action-packed dimension that unfolds on the Sceptre C505B-QSN16 Curved LED Monitor. Captivate and gather the attention of a larger audience in a room with our 32:9 UltraWide Curved Monitor. Comfortable where you are but need to change the settings? No problem. This monitor comes with a remote, providing the option to change settings or inputs from anywhere in the room effortlessly. With a 49-inch curved screen that accurately resembles the contours of the human eye, coupled with Blue Light Shift that reduces blue light emission, you can now game longer and more comfortably without straining your eyes. Regardless where you are in the room or what you’re doing, our 1800R curved design will draw you into your game, show, or movie of choice and provide an immersive experience like none other. Powered by a VA (Vertical Alignment) panel that delivers advanced refresh rates, sharper contrast ratios, and stellar viewing angles, these assets make this panel not only ideal for gaming but artistic pursuits as well. Coupled with an LED display that delivers sharper contrasts between lights and darks while delivering a vast array of rich colors, a pleasing experience with moving images comes to play. With 350 cd/m² brightness, being able to detect subtle and robust color variations is easier and comes in handy when working on creative projects. Additionally, you can choose to enhance your dynamic contrast ratio and illuminate colors up to 50% brighter with HDR400 (High Dynamic Range). Multitasking has never been easier with the PBP and PIP features this monitor provides. PBP (Picture-by-Picture) enables the ability to separate the screen in half by displaying output from two different sources to the left and right sides of the screen. PIP (Picture-in-Picture) is also available for split screen, but differs as one source is displayed on the main screen at the same time another source displays in a sub window. By delivering exceptional clarity across every inch of our screen, this curved monitor eliminates the need for a dual monitor setup. Our 49-inch curved monitor adds AMD FreeSync, providing gamers with smoother video and seamless on-the-spot movement in fast-paced games. FPS (First Person Shooter) and RTS (Real-Time Strategy), Sceptre’s custom set display settings for gaming, are also available for a more enhanced experience. Our 5120x1440 DQHD resolution provides double the pixel rate of FHD. With HDR and 90% DCI-P3 Color depth, richer color contrast is created and range within every pixel, providing refined images that rapidly appear and transition at 120Hz refresh rate. Multiple ports are offered with 120Hz on DP 1 & 2 and 60Hz refresh rates on HDMI 1 & 2. With adjustable stands that tilt and swivel for your ergonomic needs, find the perfect angle for your monitor to reduce eye strain and reduce glare. Equipped with a VESA wall mount pattern, enjoy the freedom of either attaching the monitor to an articulating arm or mount on the wall for your ultimate entertainment needs. With our edgeless design, gaming at ultrawide has never looked so good.

  • Good monitor but test it thoroughly
Brightness is good, color quality is also really good. I don’t see any ghosting to speak. Others might have a better eye for spotting these things but for the average gamer/user this thing looks great! Works great too, however after its first extensive gaming session it now has two dead pixels near the center of the screen. I had another one stuck on green but it’s fixed itself after some time. The Two Dead pixels are only noticeable if you look for them because at this pixel per inch it’s negligible. It’s about as small as a couple grains of sand. I got this on a lightning deal when there were only 3 reviews and it’s currently at $1000 which is still a great deal. One reviewer says he couldn’t get resolution above 3820 but his 980ti probably doesn’t support the massive resolution this thing has. That thing is pretty old. I run it on a liquid cooled 9900k and liquid cooled Zotac 1080 mini and it performs great. I’m not one to care about the FPS so long as the image looks good consistently, so idk what FPS I get with it but Halo MCC looks great on it, so does Elite Dangerous and Star Wars BF2. I’ll watch a video on one half and use the other side for browsing and RDP. So don’t think you won’t watch videos on it - you will. I’ve always gamed on 3x 24” displays linked together so this felt very natural to game on for me. Others not used to ultra wide gaming will take some adjusting but it’s very immersive. It has a USB A port that supplies up to 3amps of 5v but only when the monitor is active. When in a sleep state without input signal the USB port powers off. Would have preferred it stayed on to charge my stuff but it’s not a deal breaker. I mounted it on a cheap but sturdy stand to reclaim as much of my fancy custom wood desk as possible. 25” deep 50” wide desk and it leaves a little space on the sides for bookshelf speakers. ... show more

  • Great Picture
UPDATE: Just thought I would provide an update. After updating to Apple Mac OS X 12.5, using the new "universal control" feature, I can now move seamlessly from one PBP computer to the other, with the same mouse and keyboard. No switching necessary. Very cool. This is more of a feature of the Mac OS than this monitor, but it works without any problems. So if that is something you are interested in, and you use 2 Mac's with this monitor (as I do), you now have that option with OS X12.5. I have been using this monitor for a week and so far, I can't find anything wrong with it. The display is perfect, both working and light gaming (I am not a hard core gamer, WoW and Flight Sim look great). One thing I want to mention is, if you have a newer MAC with USB-C ports, you will need something like This: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081VKXFSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to get the best resolution. I currently have a Windows 10 and a MacOS systems attached and PBP and Full Screen Switching (with the included remote) works flawlessly! The included speakers are nothing to write home about. My iPad and phone some better, but there is a headphone out jack on the monitor, so I attach my external speakers to it, so I get sound from whichever system I am focused on. Works great. I would also suggest a mouse and keyboard that is capable or connecting to multiple systems if you are going to be using more than on computer with this monitor. I wish it had a built in camera, but thats not a deal breaker for me. All in all, It's a bit pricy, but I am happy I went with this monitor. ... show more

  • It's a show-stopper. Excellent a high end monitor
The Good Saying I’ve been a fan of the 49” form factor is an understatement. It’s a show stopper. Despite the pandemic, my friends keep asking to come over and check out the monitor. I’m still in awe every time I look at it. At 49 inches this thing is equivalent of 2 x 27” monitors without the borders. Using 2 x 24 inch monitors in the past I’ve always been annoyed at how I should position them on my desk. If I put the side by side when I face the middle there’s always that split down the middle. With the new monitor I can either split up the views (the monitor can display 2 inputs at the same time) or use the monitor as is. Real estate on the monitor is a definite plus. My excel sheet goes from A to BF on the columns (crazy that I counted?) My ad pr now has super long timeline so I zoom in a lot less, although in ae it didn’t matter to me in the end. I love that they came with a remote (yes folks, we have a remote for a monitor now) because I really hate how new monitors have buttons in the back or side instead of the front, like in the old days. The overall performance is good for a VA panel. I’m surprised at how good the color is when placed next to my macbook pro laptop which should be using IPS panel since it has a retina display. The Bad Originally I intended to use the monitor as one giant monitor but I found out that it’s awkwardly hard to manage or dock opened windows that way. They just end up too wide. Windows or Mac OS don’t really have a good way to utilize one super wide monitor. You can no longer use those beloved tile windows functions as efficiently. I mean playing games as one giant monitor is great that 120hz definitely helps with COD or BF. Movies also look super immersive especially when you sit 2-3 feet away but ultimately most of the time I do work on the monitor which this wideness goes from awesome to cumbersome. Ultimately I’ve gone with the built-in dual display function (PBP they call it) where the monitor takes 2 physically independent display signals and displays them side by side on the monitor acting as 2 individual displays instead of one and this time no physical border which is nice and clean. Now windows dock nicely, things are proportionate; all is well in the kingdom of productivity. On a side note, playing games at the resolution of 5120x1440 definitely kills performance. I saw a 25% decrease in my FPS, time to upgrade I guess? Also 4ms .......... well it is what it is at 120Hz. In Conclusion Your Honor I love every aspect of the monitor, though using it as one monitor is a bit troublesome but I was able to resolve it with the PBP function. Now my only worry is if this thing will last. Will update with future reviews if anything happens but so far so good. ... show more

  • More visual realestate!
I've been using this monitor for over a year and have had no problems. It is bright and the picture is clear and I have more space for open apps. It also fits in my office desk module, unlike other large format monitors.
