With an LED Display that delivers sharper contrasts between lights and darks while delivering a vast array of rich colors, a more pleasing experience with moving images comes to play. Moreover, HDR400 (High Dynamic Range) further enhances dynamic contrast ratio, resulting in 50% brighter colors than SDR. With 450 cd/m² brightness, being able to detect subtle and robust color variations is easier and comes in handy when working on creative projects with remarkably vivid colors illuminating the screen like never before. With a 27-inch screen equipped with Blue Light Shift that reduces the amount of blue light emitted from your monitor, you can now game and work longer with more comfort while protecting your eyes from fatigue, irritation, and strain. • Outstanding budget monitor with 1 small flaw
Style: 32" IPS QHD
For the money, you will NOT find a better deal on an 32 inch IPS 2k 100+Hz HDR of this quality! I love everything about it. Smooth graphics for gaming. Very bright. AMD sync (and apparently Gsync as well) works perfectly. I use this for gaming mostly with a Ryzen 7 3700 and Nvidia 2080tx GPU. I'm not a heavy FPS game player. Just a lot of World of Warcraft and similar games. It has maybe a little touch of black bleed in one corner but still amazing. When I turned on the HDR setting in windows all of a sudden the screen looked almost grey cast and washed out. Then I explored the settings in the monitor's button menu, turned on the HDR and sync there and the colors popped. You can adjust the gamma, color temps, tint, saturation etc to your liking as well. The blue light eye shield is nice too. It has a RBG backlight on the backside of the panel if that's your thing. I'm by myself in my office. No one will see it. I couldn't care less. The stand it comes with is mounted with a VESA bracket, adjustable in height, tilt and orientation (vertical vs horizontal). It is SOLID with a hefty weight. I like that the foot is a flat design rather than a tripod style because it creates more room on the desk surface and also allows for the monitor to be very low in height if you're needing something low profile. Height adjustment is a breeze. Just a gentle push or pull to move it. The red u handle at the top of the mount makes it a snap to move and/or carry if needed. Speakers are "meh". At full volume, it's mildly loud and tinny. Nothing full, but works for basic sound needs and browsing. Most gamers have a headset or premium external speakers anyway. THE FLAW: This monitor has a noticeably loud electric power hum. Like fluorescent overhead lights. I thought it might be a defect. So I ordered an exact replacement and the same thing still occurred. If I turn the HDR off and lower the brightness down to 50% then the hum is almost gone. Definitely a backlight/brightness issue. Through communication with Sceptre tech support this is because the power supply is in the back of the monitor whereas other monitors might have the power supply in the power cable. If you use headphones or speakers often, you might not notice it at all. But if you're in a quiet room staring at a document screen etc, then you can definitely hear it. I am especially sound sensitive and this noise grinds on me. Makes me feel like I'm "locked in a cubicle" and it stresses me out. I can't unhear it. Maybe it won't be an issue for you. IDK. I am very torn about returning this monitor because, like I said, you will not find anything else comparable at this price point. I'm probably going to keep it because I threw the box out too soon and doing a return with generic packaging would be such a hassle. ***Positive Note: Spectre Customer Support and Tech Support are top notch! They are US based, polite, professional, knowledgeable and clear in their communication. Their response time through email is fantastic too. Most was same day or within 24 hours. I sent them a video clip of the noise and they agreed it was loud enough to be a possible defect. They were very gracious about troubleshooting. This is the only monitor (E325B-QPN168) that they have that I'm aware has this noise problem. So I think for now if my office is quiet I'll just have some white noise or music playing. When I'm gaming, it's a moot point. ... show more

  • Great quality for the price
Style: 27" IPS QHD
Overview: I was looking for two 27" monitors in a 1440p resolution with preferably 144Hz+ refresh rate. This monitor ticked the boxes and claims HDR400. Coming from a decade old 60Hz Samsung monitor where the panel type was simply 'LCD', this was an amazing improvement. The Good: - Packaging was good and they shipped with no damage - Color depth is great compared to any other monitor I have used - 2 high refresh rate inputs (HDMI and DP) - Light weight, utilizes external power adapter The Bad: - Speakers were horrible. I know you typically don't buy monitors for their speakers, but these in my experience with them, were useless Misc: - Did not use the stands as I used wall mount/desk mount arms. These are a deeply inset 75x75 VESA, at first I was shocked at how deep the mounting screws were inset but they included extension screws to bring them out flush, nice save. - LCD ring around the back, I left it on since it wasn't overpowering but I had no real opinion on it. I believe you can turn it off in the OSD menu. Conclusion: I had used Sceptre monitors in the past and knew they had been around for a while. I was really happy with the overall quality. No dead pixels. Speakers were a disappointment, but I wasn't counting on them. I would buy them again and recommend them to anyone wanting to step up to 27" 1440p and 144Hz for a reasonable price. ... show more

  • Good value for money.
Style: 27" IPS QHD
I purchased both the 32" (Feb. '22) and 27" (Nov. '22) form factors. They work pretty well and are a good value for the asking price (~$225-$275). The stands they come with are nice, sturdy and allow for a wide range of positions. Major down side appears to be quality control on these units. From what I see in the Amazon Reviews and Q&A's (now after nearly 1 year of ownership), and what I experienced, there are some issues with displayports failing on these units. The displayport on my 32" unit failed after about 10 months of use. So keep that in mind when looking at this unit. It does offer an HDMI 2.0 port, but most modern graphics cards only come with 1 hdmi port nowadays. So, if you're running more than 2 monitors at higher resolutions and refresh rates, the available I/O could limit your options. Which is where I find myself, scrambling to find new cables/adapters because I can't justify replacing a monitor that's less than 1 year old... ... show more

  • Great monitor at a great price
Style: 27" IPS QHD
Haven't bought a Sceptre monitor in over 10 years (no particular reason); the last monitor I had was great and I figured I would give this monitor a try. FIrst off, good to see a monitor supplier providing a DP cable in the packaging as well as all the necessary screws to attach to a VESA mount. Next - the colors look good and the setup menu is easy to navigate. The ports are easy to get to - initially I was perturbed because they weren't downward facing - their placement makes it easier to connect cables too. The monitor does have an external power supply, which makes things more cumbersome, but makes it easier to service if the power supply fails. I'm not yet pushing the screen at 144Hz so I'll have to come back for an update, but so far, I'm extremely happy with this monitor. ... show more

  • Great 144Hz 1440p monitor
Style: 27" IPS QHD
Perfect build - no bad pixels, no scratches, good quality packaging material. The stand is very strong and has a very helpful handle built into the top to help you move the monitor when needed. It also came with weird blinders you can attach, I guess for the nerdiest of LAN gamers. Remember to change your settings in Windows to 144Hz and 1440p. I wish this monitor had buttons on the front so you can actually see the power button. As it is, I have to reach blindly behind the monitor and feel for the power button to turn it on each time (I have it set to power saving mode when idle). ... show more
