I ordered and installed a CRUA curved 27" LED monitor last week and... the ghosting was giving me headaches while gaming and during my day job as a writer, where text would smear up and down the screen in red double vision. I ordered this Sceptre monitor when I went to their website and saw they actually have full listings of every monitor, manuals saved server-side, and you can contact them directly. I had never heard of the company before, but figured i'd give it a shot. When I swapped out that CRUA monitor for this one, within 10 seconds, I decided to return the CRUA. It's been about 30 hours since then and I've yet to have a problem. I didn't have to touch any of the settings, the sharpness is great, the colors are vibrant and the CORRECT HUE (unlike the CRUA which tended to be red and muddy). The monitor is pretty light, has a great build quality on the vesa mount - very sturdy feeling plate in the back for the stand to mount to. It's got all the connections plus more - if it had a curved panel, it'd be better in every single way [and] it's cheaper. Even the branding (the Sceptre logo on the front) is far more subtle, and the starts screen looks clean. The monitor has quite a few settings, hits 165hz without issue, has no artifacting, light spots, or haze that I can see, zero dead pixels, and a 1ms-2ms response time (though my testing is not flawless), making it really snappy when scrolling or moving sprites on a 2d game like Hades or Cult of the Lamb as well as more graphically intense games that I tested Came with a 6 feet (2 meter) Display Port cable, a much much smaller power supply than my last monitor, and was packaged fairly well. So far, so good. This IPS monitor is MILES ahead of any VA monitor out there, and even the blacks look truer. Between the murky colors, slow response rate, and severe lack of settings, I'll never make the mistake of buying a VA monitor again. This, however, was a great deal and filled every role I needed in a monitor. Will update further if anything breaks!

I wanna say first— this monitor came with a screwdriver and a DisplayPort cable. I already love it. The monitor is an IPS panel with very little to NO ghosting. A massive upgrade from my CRUA monitor I refunded (which had the worst ghosting I’ve ever seen, it looked like a slideshow believe me!!) This monitor has clear crisp picture running at a 165hz refresh rate— perfect for competitive people who play fortnite and such. I felt such a smoothness while playing battlefront without any issues whatsoever. And it’s pretty big too, 27’ of pure crystal quality. Love it !! Although the speakers do sound a little funny, but theres no harm in plugging in a speaker or some headphones. :) that’ll do the trick If your looking for a monitor for competitive gaming, grab this one, PLEASE! Fantastic price too!

Its hard for me to quantify my gaming getting better or not, but the screen feels very responsive at 1920x1080 competitive fpp or tpp shooter games. Looks great, and I use it a lot. Connectors are in good places, buttons are easy to use (I don't ever need to switch inputs, but I find turning off the monitor quite easy and stops the blue flashing light of standby mode). No dead pixels, great for watching video and gaming. 27" monitor, 165hz, at this price was great.

While I found it to be a bit easy to drop, as I dropped it on my desk shortly after it arrived, there was no visible damage to the screen, nor did anything change regarding functionality. This thing took a hit from that fall, but it just keeps ticking regardless. I would definitely buy this again given the opportunity. The only thing I recommend is to be very careful with it, as it does not have much room for error when standing it up. While I dropped it once with no issues, I wouldn't want to take another chance with it, just in case. Durable, reliable, and excellent picture quality.

Purchased this monitor for my daughter for Christmas. 4 months after purchase, there was a very profound set of horizontal lines going across the bottom of the monitor. We tried different cables, resetting vid card, updating drivers etc. Eventually contacted warranty support, and they sent us an RMA # and shipping label to have it fixed or replaced. 2 weeks later, we received our "fixed" monitor. It was SOOOO MUCH WORSE!! Now the monitor has about 1/3 of the screen non functioning. Big bright vertical lines, overlapping issues, completely unusable. I knew this company had some concerns with their warranty and service departments, but I've never had something sent out for repairs come back even more broken.

Display is very sharp and responsive. The speakers are too weak and quiet to be useful. I stuck a cheap soundbar to the bottom of the monitor, and that combo works great.

Excellent for my work; this is what I needed. The investment was cheap and offered a good view and experience of the workplace. I do not play on the computer, so I do not know how screen behavior with gaming. Sorry.
