The trim came as scheduled and the box was left on my porch and no damages. When I went to use the trim the day of delivery there were areas that were damaged. The plastic package it came it was damaged as well. So apparently it happen before it was put on the box to be delivered. So the trim for what I needed it for was perfectly fine; I was not using long strips for a vehicle. As you see in the photo it was for a Little Tikes remodel for my 10th grandsons first birthday 🥳 this month. So if I was someone who was using this for a vehicle and was counting on most of the roll of trim I am sure they would be disappointed and not happy. As whether it will stay on this Little Tikes remodel is yet to be determined. I will update as it is used. ... show more

The black version looks fine in the shade but when you put it in the sun, it has a purple pearlescent hue to it like it has UV damage from years of exposure to the sun. It would look terrible on a black car like mine. I am returning it. Update: When I contacted Seller for a return, they notified me there was a blue protective film on it. I thought it was only on the chrome version because I could not see it on my black version. The ends were cut so precisely that there is no evidence of the blue film, I had to pick at it like 20 times with my nail before it released. I put it on and it looks great! ... show more

    • Would be beautiful but it just will not adhere.

I purchased two rolls to replace the chrome trim on my conversion van that had lost its coating. It lays inside a larger white molding. I removed the old trim, cleaned with 3M cleaner and attempted the application but it would not stick. It slid around like it was on Teflon. I thought maybe it needed to be cleaned again and repeated the cleaning process. Still no adhesion. I purchased an adhesion primer and tried applying again. Better but not sufficient to hold everywhere. I got one section to adhere by using a heat gun but this caused issues with the chrome finish. I am in Florida and were breaking record highs for February at 87 degrees, so it's not a matter of the product being too cold. The molding I removed had 3M's thick molding tape and the adhesive tape on this is much thinner. A lot of work for something that should have been very easy to install. Its a good trim molding. I used it on the roof top after my stock molding was blown away by carwash dryer. It doesnot have adhesion in the center but I appreciate the customer support. they were able to solve my issue and were super responsive.
