Might need thicker socks for these. Can't tighten the laces any further. I like the space in the toe box but want a snugger fit around the rest of the foot so it doesn't slide around. Tread has great grip for hikes in mountain, sandy or rocky trail. Not as cush as my regular running and workout shoes (Guide), but balanced with increased flexibility for the trail. I have other Asics shoes and love them. Got these for outdoor because of the tread, but the rubber toe guard presses on my toe. Also, the toe box is a bit too narrow for comfort. Too bad because these are pretty shoes and the insoles are excellent. Good arch support and good cushion. I bought my regular size 8.5 I'm not going to order up a size because other than the toe box these almost fit perfectly. The search continues.... ... show more

I live in the Arizona desert and love these shoes. The are light and fast. I hike to the tops of the mountains around Phoenix and run down. They are super comfortable, durable, and not a lot of cushion, which I love for going fast.
