Best running shoe ever! I have had this style for 10 years, and it has never failed me. The shoe is very neutral with a wide base, so if you want a fast-feeling shoe, I would not recommend it. However, if you have foot issues and just want a shoe to walk in, I highly recommend it. My pairs last me about 500 miles, so they are worth the price. This shoe is a blessing for me, especially because I have an exceptionally high instep. The instep is how high the top of your foot is from the ground, which is not the same as having a high arch. Shoes for high instep are hard to find. These are especially comfortable. The shoestring is long enough that you can keep it looser as needed for extra comfort. ... show more

As an over-pronator (feet tip in too much), these shoes have helped stabilize my arch and keep knee pain at bay. They are quite squishy and padded to walk in, which makes work shifts in these shoes more tolerable. The cost is too much in my opinion. They should be closer to $100, rather than $150. But since it's hard to find shoes that provide the right support, I pay the price. The fabric is stylish and cute, it hides stains pretty well. I wear a size 11 womens so my feet never feel cute and small, but these are a bit big feeling so that's a down side for me. The weight of the shoes is appropriate. The durability seems a little less quality than Asics or Brooks. I am noticing more signs of wear than in other brands. Would buy again but wish for a price drop. ... show more

I have flat feet and Saucony Echelon were recommended to me several years ago. I bought these Echelon 9s in the hopes that they would be as good as the Echelon 7s they replaced. I am very pleased. I caught a sale of a color I didn't think I would like but the discount was too good let it pass me by. I was pleasantly surprised. The black and white color is very aesthetically pleasing. I am very happy and had I seen them in a store, I think I would have favored that color. All around good experience. I highly recommend Saucony for comfort and durability in exercising. If you are going to run in these I recommend a half a size up. Feet do swell when running. Great shoe!! ... show more

Within 6 months, I had two holes right above both big toes. Even though I always wear socks and do not run out exercise in these. When I contacted Saucony and submitted photos like they asked, they said they deemed that to be "normal wear and tear." After less than 6 months? If you want to purchase these, it's fine but just know that if you do any sort of walking in them, they won't let too long. Photo info.: I wore no socks in the photo to show the contrast between the color of my toes and the color of the material so that the people at Saucony could actually see the holes in the photos. ... show more
