A Great Race Day Shoe With A Fun Midsole That Wants To Move!
Size: 11.5 Color: Citron/Black
Fit and Sizing I normally wear a U.S. Mens 9.5 in all my running shoes, but I ordered these a half size up after reading some reviews. I am really glad I did. The toe box curves inward a little too much toward the sides, and I think my pinky toes would have been rubbing against the upper if I had stayed with my usual size. Going up half a size gave my toes more room, especially with some foot swelling during a run. I was worried the larger size might cause heel slippage, but that has not been an issue at all. My heel stays locked in. Midsole Feel The first thing I felt when I put these on was how soft the midsole is. It almost feels like there are marshmallows and jelly underneath your feet. There is a lot of foam underfoot, but somehow the shoe does not feel bulky or heavy. The IncrediRUN foam has a very different feel from some of the other super shoes I have tried. It has a really soft and springy feel, and once you combine that with the Speedroll rocker and carbon fiber plate, the shoe feels like it wants to move forward. Cushioning and Protection There is a ton of cushioning here. You get a lot of foam underneath your feet, so there is plenty of protection for longer runs and harder efforts. What I like is that the cushioning does not come with a huge weight penalty. For a racing shoe, the amount of cushioning is pretty impressive. My feet feel well protected without feeling like I am running in a heavy shoe. Stability This is probably the area where I would have the biggest caution. When I am just walking around in these, the soft foam and shape of the shoe can make them feel somewhat unstable. I definitely felt that when walking. My first run also had some lateral instability, but I have not experienced that again on my other runs. Once I started running at a faster pace, that walking instability pretty much disappeared. At running speed, the shoe feels much more controlled. I would be a little more cautious with these for someone who is a heavy heel striker or someone looking for a shoe that feels very stable at easy paces. These really seem designed to come alive when you start moving faster. Running Experience For me, these feel best when I land toward the mid-foot. That is where I get the most out of the rocker and carbon plate. Once I get up to speed, the shoe feels like it wants to keep moving forward. The carbon fiber plate gives the shoe some structure and helps with the transition, but it does not make the shoe feel extremely stiff. The combination of the soft foam, rocker and plate makes the ride feel very lively. I would not choose these as my go to shoe for a slow recovery run. At easier paces, the soft midsole can feel a little less controlled. When I start pushing the pace, though, the shoe makes a lot more sense. Weight For my U.S. Mens size 10, they weigh 7.3 ounces per shoe. That is really light considering how much cushioning and protection you get underneath your feet. You get a lot of foam without having a brick attached to your feet. The low weight is one of the reasons I can easily see these being used as a dedicated racing shoe. Upper and Breathability The upper is lightweight and has some stretch to it, so it does a nice job of molding around my foot. I also really like the knit tongue. It is comfortable and does a good job of protecting the top of my foot when I tighten the laces. The heel collar is soft but still gives the heel some structure, and the laces are pretty standard. Nothing complicated here. Breathability is excellent. The upper feels very light and airy, which is especially nice when running in warmer weather. Outsole and Grip The outsole has four separate rubber sections with exposed foam in the middle. There is also a deep cutout through the mid-foot that exposes part of the carbon plate. I have had no problems with traction, including on wet pavement. That is something I pay attention to with lightweight racing shoes because I do not want to be worrying about slipping when the road is wet. Final Thoughts The Endorphin Elite 2 is a really interesting racing shoe. The midsole is extremely soft and cushioned, but the shoe still has that fast, aggressive feel once you get moving. The rocker and carbon plate work well together, especially when landing more toward the mid-foot or forefoot. It is not the most stable shoe when walking around or running at very easy paces, so I would keep that in mind. But when you start picking up the pace, the shoe feels much more at home. The Endorphin Elite 2 is actually the softest midsole in my running shoe rotation. Even though this is an older model now, I still think it holds up really well as a racing shoe. There is a lot of technology and material here, and the overall construction feels like what you would expect from a high end race shoe. Value I paid $149.95 for these when they were on sale, compared with the original $290 retail price. At $149.95, I think these are a really interesting option for someone looking for a high-end racing shoe without paying full price. Even though the Endorphin Elite 2 is an older model, I do not think that automatically makes it outdated. The lightweight build, huge amount of cushioning, carbon plate and responsive ride still make this a very capable racing shoe. ... show more

Good but small and not the most comfy
Size: 11 Women/9.5 Men Color: Splash/Fire
These are very bouncy and cushiony shoes. They run small to size .5-1 up. First two runs i did threshold and then a long run. Both had my right foot feeling tingly which sometimes happens if the shoe doesn’t fit right or laces too tight. I adjust half way thru my long run and got better. My shin also hurt on my other leg in and out during my long run. I do not have those problems when i wear my daily trainers so i do think it’s shoe related. However, when i did my race pace miles, i did not have the same pain so it could be that i was just going too slow and not warmed up in the beginning of my long run. I’m still undecided if i wear these for the marathon. ... show more

Order one size up but highly recommend
Size: 9 Women/7.5 Men Color: Splash/Fire
I normal wear a size 9, they run small so I highly recommend ordering one size up. But after that they are like walking on clouds I absolutely love these shoes. They have are very light weight and comfortable I have flat feet and I feel like I can walk and run in these for days.

Not True to Size
Size: 7.5 Color: White/Peel
Super lightweight, good quality, but NOT TRUE TO SIZE. I have narrow feet and I'm a true women's 7.5. Unfortunately the W7.5 was far too small and uncomfortable. Will try my luck going up a 1/2 size, but save yourself the trouble and size up for this style.

So Good
Size: 12.5 Women/11 Men Color: Airy/Nightsky
I have many super shoes. I was hesitant on this one because of YouTube reviews. This truly is my favorite of all my super shoes. It is not at all overly soft. It does not bottom out at all. I am 180. I dont know if its that I run my miles at a 8:30 pace or what, but this shoe is pure responsiveness. The fastest most pressure relieving enjoyable running shoe there is in my humble opinion. ... show more

Saucony Endorphin Elite
Size: 8.5 Women/7 Men Color: Lapis/Citron
These are the best running shoes for people who need a little more room in the toe box. I ordered a 1/2 size larger. It's lightweight and the bounce back is really helpful. This this my 3rd pair. Great for 10k and above.

Runs EXTREMELY small
Size: 7 Women/5.5 Men Color: Shock/Black
These run EXTREMELY small. I ordered my usual 1/2 a size bigger and they showed up looking like toddler shoes. Submitted the return and order a full size bigger…. Still too snug for a running shoe. If you order these aim for 1.5-2 sizes bigger than your shoe size. I’m a seasoned runner and have never had an issue like this with any brand. ... show more
