Finding a good fitting wide running shoe has always been a struggle for me. I typically run in Mizuno Wave Riders, but was brought in by the hype of a newly designed Triumph. Having worn Saucony Kinvaras previously(and currently) for "Tempo" runs, I was hoping for a similar result in fit with the Triumph. Unfortunately I have not found it. After about 50 miles in these my first thoughts are, the shoe feels big. Compared to most my other size 10 EE shoes (saucony and others) this looks and fits bigger. Thus getting a secure fit to my foot has been a struggle. Similar to other Saucony shoes I have purchased I need to lace these MUCH tighter, To the point where the laces are ridiculously long after being tied. But still, the slide and movement I get from the lack of fit causes discomfort around mile 5-6. Seeing as I bought these for long marathon training runs, this is a problem. Other than the fit, the shoes are pretty nice. The new foam is responsive and springy. The cuff of the shoe is super padded and comfortable. Construction and durability seem to be in line with the quality Saucony has been known for, and the looks of the shoe are awesome. I will likely turn these into a really expensive set of casual shoes since I cannot rely on them for most of my runs. Bottom line is, if you have previously loved the Saucony fit, you will probably love these shoes. If you have a wider flatter foot, like me, you might struggle or go 1/2 size smaller than usual. Guess I'm going back to Mizuno.

Lots of foam padding at the heel, good for long slow runs, the white and blue ones are good for warmer weather because the darker colors will overheat your feet quickly. Weight is decent could be slightly lighter, durability is overall poor, after only 100 miles or so the foam is torn up when the heel and toe strike anywhere on the side of the shoe. Overall comfortable for running, not good for standing all day because of the heel raise, and for some reason very squeaky.
