  • Took some getting used to!
Size: 10 Color: Ether
Background: I started running about 7 years ago as part of my weight-loss journey. I’m not a big runner and never have been, but I was consistently running three times a week for a handful of years — now running a little less. I have NEVER run more than 6 miles in any one session, and I’ve always had like $50 shoes without any care for cushioning or heel drop. I started watching several hours of reviews of different running shoes and splurged on these babies — Saucony Triumph 20. I’ve gotta say, it was quite a different experience running in these. I was NOT used to such a cushioned sole — very comfortable, but it also required me to change my running form ever so slightly. After the first couple runs of 3 miles each, I found a groove and could see a future with these although I wished I liked them more. I did have a blister after my first run due to the rub in the toe box. I don’t have wide feet at all, but my last shoes have had a little more room in the box. This just had less room. No issues after the first run though — fortunately. The quality seems pretty great overall. I love the look! Would I buy again? I’m not sure I would. I think I’d try something else as I haven’t loved these like I wanted to love them. I’m not sure the value was there for the money at the end of the day … for me and for how I run. Maybe if I was more of a distance runner, I’d notice the difference in my joints using these versus $50 shoes. As it stands though, I’m just feeling “meh” with these and wished I’d tried something else instead. ... show more

  • Super comfy all-around running shoe.
Size: 11 Color: Vapor
I’ve had these (triumph 20) a couple of weeks now, but I bough them to replace the previous year’s ones (triumph 19) that I’d put over 400 miles on. I typically do about 3-5 miles per run, and I run about 3-6 days per week. I’m not a fast runner, and these shoes are definitely not built for speed. They’re for comfort, and they excel at that. Very comfy soles, like running on pillows, but also stable. The upper is soft but breathable, which is very handy for me because I live in a very hot and humid city. I’ve worn this new pair outdoors and on the treadmill, in hot and wet weather, and they’re great. My last pair of Triumphs that I got rid of when I bought these, I used them to do my first four half marathons (all this year), and my personal best of 17 miles (still working up to a full marathon). But I did all those runs injury-free, and my newer pair of Triumphs seem like an even better shoe than the last ones. I know there is now a triumph 21, but I got these because they were on sale. They’ll probably last me a year easily. They’re true to size. I wear men’s 11. I also wear 11 in Nikes and Brooks, if that helps. Plenty of room for the toes, snug fit on the upper with no pinching from the laces, and no rubbing from the heels. If you run short or long distances, and injury-free comfort is what you’re looking for, these are great shoes (also maybe the Brooks Glycerin, but the Saucony’s fit my feet better). ... show more

  • Good combo with Endorphin Speed
Size: 10 Color: Miles to Go
These are my ideal easy/recovery day shoe for winter. They’re surprisingly light. Plenty of energy return for a highly cushioned ride. I just did my first tempo run with no major complaints besides them feeling a bit sluggish and clunky compared to Speed 3. The runshield upper keeps my feet warm enough to use regular running socks below 20F. I wouldn’t expect absolute waterproofing through rain and slush, but there’s enough to fend off the splashes of water here and there. There’s just a bit more room in these, which is nice if you’d like a thicker sock. The outsole seems fine, but I can see where some may run into it peeling off. You’d almost have to be intentional about damaging the outsole tread. TBD how these hold up on light gravel trail through the winter. Excellent rotation with Endorphin Speed 3, which should allow me to keep both shoes well into next season. ... show more

  • These shoes provide great comfort and support to your feet
Size: 11.5 Color: Ocean/Redrock
I have been wearing Hoka shoes for a while now. While I like the amount of give they provide, I do not care for either their ever increasing price tags or their durability. These shoes are every bit as comfortable as the best Hoka models I have worn, at a fraction of the price. Although this Saucony model is from last year, it is virtually identical to the current year model at close to $100 off. I trust Saucony from my experience with them years ago. ... show more

  • Comfortable running shoe
Size: 10 Color: Twilight/Black
I run about 30 miles a week just for exercise, no racing. For me the most important thing is protecting my joints so I can continue running. These shoe fit that perfectly. I used these on two runs so far, about 14 miles. They are very comfortable and my pace was at the high end of my average. The extra cushion didn’t slow me down and my body felt great. The only thing I didn’t like is the shoe strings keep coming undone while running. ... show more

  • The most cushioned running shoe I own
Size: 8.5 Color: Ocean/Redrock
I only buy Saucony shoes because I can always get them on sale (50-80% off) and they are great quality. I currently own the Cohesion 13, Guide 14, Freedom 4, Axon 2, Endorphin Speed, and now the Triumph 20. This shoe is definitely the softest and squishiest of all the shoes. I like all my Saucony shoes and I switch them up kind of randomly, except I only use the Endorphin Speeds for my fast runs. I think the Triumphs are probably too plush for a fast workout, but if you're doing a low impact easy run, this shoe is awesome. ... show more

  • Cushioning and reactivity in a single shoe
Size: 11 Color: Vapor
The Saucony Triumph 20 are the brand's top-of-the-range running shoes with high profiles and maximum cushioning. I use them to burn miles, for recovery days and, surprisingly, for certain interval training and fartleks up to an average of 4:30 - 4:15 min/Km. They are made with top quality materials. Its PowerRun+ sole has a very pleasant touch and responds with reactivity. Its extreme cushioning comes from said sole and the insole also made of PowerRun+ material. Do not hesitate to purchase this wonderful model. ... show more

  • Very different from the 19, super soft
I think I prefer the 19s, I wish they didn't change so much when they make the shoe each year. These are really really soft, and the stack is quite high which seems to be the trend. I do like the little loops the laces go into for tightening up over the cap. I'm a clydesdale, 240lbs, running about 10 miles per week on these. I love the cushion, but it might be a bit too much for staying stable. ... show more
