  • Much Improved
Size: 12.5 Color: Reverie
I have worn Saucony shoes for twenty years, but the Guide 13's I bought in 2021 were a disappointment. They were fine except that they started to tear at the collar after a few runs and they really looked crappy. But I decided to give the Guide 14's a chance, and these have been great. I've got over 200 miles on each of the two pairs I own, and they're holding up just fine. I think they do provide some extra support without feeling stiff. Very comfortable shoes and they don't feel clunky at all. I read the review talking about resisting the temptation to replace the laces. Before the I received these shoes, I wondered what they were talking about. I must have missed the memo about these new stretchy laces. I'd never had anything like them before, and I wondered what was up the first time I tied these laces up. But I really like the laces. No need to double knot them when you tie your shoes, and they never come untied. Pretty neat. Once again, I ordered a half-size larger than I would with any other brand of shoe. For whatever reason, Saucony shoes seem to run a bit small. But going with a half-size larger seems to work for me. ... show more

  • Very comfortable
Size: 11 Color: Mulberry/Lime
These shoes have been a great everyday sneaker for everyday use. Been very happy with the quality of Saucony. These are my second pair but my first time trying the guide 14. I really like the extra arch support it provides. And still very easy to walk in like the Ride model.

  • New heel is…well…different
Size: 11.5 Color: Mulberry/Lime
I am a 5’ 11” 190 lb jogger around 20 miles a week. I am a big fan of the previous model Guide 13. For a heavy runner it had a perfect balance of support, responsiveness and light weight. I have a slighlty narrow foot that the upper secured well. This model (14) is still good but… (1) the biggest difference is the back of the heel. It has noticeably changed where it feels much more open and doesn’t secure the back of the foot as well. Thus, not as supportive. (2) They changed the laces from flat to round. It may be cosmetic, but my experience is flat will cinch easier and stay tied better. Plus these round laces look like something on my 9 year olds shoes. (3) Seems like there’s more “space” across the mid foot which feels looser for my narrowish foot. This may be a good thing for normal feet. Overall, its good. The heel has changed this shoe from being a “do everything” shoe for heavy joggers like me to something less supportive on longer 7+ miles. ... show more

  • The best running shoe for moderate overpronators with wide feet
Size: 9 Wide Color: Alloy/Cobalt
Unlike some other brands and models, this always has plenty of wide (2E) shoes in stock. Comfortable for short and long runs alike. Durability isn’t great, but at its typical price point of $70-$80 on Amazon, I don’t mind if the shoe only lasts 300 miles.

  • Provides great support and fit well.
Size: 10.5 Color: Mulberry/Lime
Like the look and red color. Very comfortable. Generally have toe joint pain in most shoes, but not in these. Very pleased so far.

  • Perfect shoe - just not perfect for me.
Size: 11.5 Color: Future Blue
I love the color way (Future Blue) and I'd read good things about both the brand and the model, so I went for it. This shoe is made for stability, and I gotta say, it sure FEELS stable. There's almost no give or recoil on the step. I read a few reviews on these that said they broke in very nicely, but my all time favorite pair of running shoes didn't need much breaking in at all, if any, so I'll be switching back to that brand and model. Again, if you need a stable, firm step, these are great. Just not what I was looking for. ... show more

  • Firmest Guide since the Guide ISO
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Charcoal/Vizigold
These are a great looking version of Saucony’s Guide series, with a simpler, cleaner look and thick, spongy laces that AREN’T TOO LONG (Guide Iso), and don’t easily come untied on their own. But they are also the firmest footbed of any Guide since the Guide Iso. Significantly firmer than the Guide 13, Guide 10, and Guide 8. If you’re coming directly from the 13 like I was, you’ll notice the difference right away, and it takes some getting used to. It was so firm at first that I seriously thought about returning them, then looked online into whether or not I should try breaking them in, and if the ride would soften over time. Thankfully, it has, and they’re proving to be a good running shoe. The uppers are very lightweight and so breathable that they remind me of Nike Huarache type uppers. The upper is soft and comfy, though, and needed no breaking in, while providing excellent ventilation and good space in the toe box. The heel counter on this one is pronounced and so soft and almost squishy that it’s easy to crush down if you don’t hold onto it while inserting your foot. I prefer a bit more stiffness back at the heel, but I can’t argue with the comfort and softness. We’ll see if it holds up over time. I’ve been very happy with Saucony’s Guide line of shoes over the years, and the fact that they’re available in different widths as well as sizing. They’ve always been a quality shoe for running thats worth the money. ... show more

  • Sweet shoes, but for running???
Size: 11 Color: Future Black
I didn't buy these shoes for running. I AM a runner. I workout 4 times a week, run twice and kickbox twice. I bought these shoes because they look sweeeeet! They are also super cosy! But for running, I'm not so sure. Saucony put a plastic block in the arch of this shoe. I was a little surprised by that. I don't feel the plastic block at all while just walking around and enjoying the looks I get from people, but if I were to use these for sports, I would be concerned that I would eventually begin to feel that plastic block as the rest of the shoe broke in. Not sure though. Like I said, I just bought them cause they poppin'. ... show more
