I bought these for a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine to climb the Precipice in Acadia. I wore them several times on short walks to break them in a bit. At first I thought that I should have purchased half a size up, but within the first couple of miles they were perfect. They performed very well hiking, but like with most shoes, they are pretty slick when on wet rocks. I imagine that as the tread wears, they will become a little more grippy. ... show more

This is my second pair. I'm still wearing my first pair to work. I don't usually wear sneakers but I love these. They are very light and great traction.

Wear these daily as an everyday shoe. Sole still has well defined tread after 14 months. I do not run in these, just the pair I throw on every morning. Stitching and material still holding up well. Great shoe. I usually buy NB but liked the looks of these and the price, worth the purchase.

    • The best fit and construction I've experienced
I've owned these for about 4 weeks. Over the years I've bought maybe 50 athletic shoes. I'm completely blown away with how good this shoe is. Since I received them, it's the main shoe I've worn running and at the gym. I'm not knowledgeable of shoe theory or shoe tech, but these feel like they support my feet where others don't. It's like the construction is solid where others aren't. Pain: 5 months ago I developed chronic pain on my left foot's outside (left) metatarsal from repetitious movements that puts pressure on this area (about halfway from heel to toe.) I experienced this with all of my shoes. The Saucony fixed it. Anyway I'm a Saucony believer. I usually buy mediums, but the lone Saucony I bought, probably in the 90s, was too narrow for me.
