Iv owned all the endorphin speed models, it's lightweight, fits perfect, havd never had any issues with squeezes, or foot moving around, they look better than previous models, still waiting for them to drop an all black version one day or atleast few good color options, the priced is the price. Everything is expensive, but these worth it. hoesntly between this and the 2s are the best. Only thing Im not a super big fan of are the are the little wing tip thing they did with the heel. They end up eroding/falling off after some runs; not sure what their purpose were for. other than that the shoes are comfortable, supportive, and I had all sorts of injuries, pain, sure I run smarter, warm up, stretch, hip mobility and listen to my body more, but I honestly feel the shoe helps alot when it comes to support it's also built to last, I swap out around 400miles, these are my 4th pair. I wear these year round, I just grew out of switching shoes. All the shoe experts really gets in your head and pockets for the Views and marketing, and yes they can be a good source of informative content for those who are completely clueless, but you don't need 20 pairs of shoes no matter what level your at And I own a decent amount of running shoes but these are my go to that taught me get one or two pairs to switch out after a targetes amount of miles. Now if your into some serious runing. Than that's out qualification input, if you jdut new to the game, separate your shoe events, meaning if your gyming, get proper shoes for that, either some weightlifting shoes, Converses, I'd say bare foot but nah, to much going on in public gyms these days, Protect yourself. There are alot of great shoes out there, all sorts of foot types, all sorts of complex environments, weather, there isn't a perfect shoe for everyone but there may be a perfect shoe out there for you. These are just my go to for daily trainers and hoesntly believe if yo u dotn kmweo where go start or try. Can't go wrong with three.

Context: I am a beginner, slow, heavier runner. Recently bought these for a great price since the Endorphin Speed 5 are coming out very soon. Personally love the color way and how the shoe feels. The quality of the overall shoe is great, the upper is very breathable and comfortable. The midsole is the PWRRUN PB which is on the firmer side, but you need that for speedier shoes so that you can get the instant bounce needed for fast paces. It has great stability on the heel and my feet feel well supported on that end. The main issue I had is just how narrow these are. I have wide feet and Saucony doesn't offer wide options for this shoe. Even then, with other shoe brands I can normally size up by 1/2 or even full 1 size up and my feel will be just fine. I sized up 1/2 and while it was more comfortable than my normally US Men's 11.5, it was still very narrow to the point that I had to shelf them after a couple of runs. I heard the Speed 5 are wider so I may try those out. Besides the width issue, I think these are great shoes for those who are able to fit them.

Pros: Incredibly lightweight on your feet Amazing energy return Breathable upper mesh Cons:Runs slightly narrow High price point Performance and Feel I just started running in these shoes, and the very first thing I noticed is how incredibly light they feel on my feet. As someone who runs about 12 to 15 miles a week, I find that the carbon fiber plate and responsive foam give an immediate forward-rolling sensation. It makes maintaining a steady pace feel almost effortless while absorbing pavement impact beautifully. Sizing and Fit The upper mesh material is thin and breathes very well, which keeps your feet cool during my weekly workouts. However, be aware that the toe box runs slightly narrow. If you have wider feet or prefer extra room for toe splay during longer runs, you may want to go up a half size from your usual running shoe size. Final Verdict For a mid-mileage runner looking to pick up the pace, this is an elite shoe that delivers on weight and speed. It is a premium investment piece, but the performance boost makes it completely worth it for fast training sessions or race days.

I am very happy with this running shoe (I bought the dark gray/white model, and the same thing in white). This version costs a little less than Saucony's top-of-the-line Endorphin Elite (which I tried previously), and I am very happy with its performance. There is less bounciness than with the Endorphin Elite (now replaced by the Endorphin Elite 2). Highlights: - Durability -- so far, so good. (In the past, the aft black rubber wear pad of the Endorphin Elite wore through and had to be cut off to avoid floppiness.) - Fit -- excellent and true to size - Stability - excellent - Great for walking (no weird bounce or spring) or running; excellent feel In my view, Saucony needs to offer a more reasonable set of color options for the Endorphin Pro 4). Some color is good (actually, much better than just basic gray & white or plain white), but I don't want rainbow-colored shoes. Give us some classy color combinations, Saucony.

I am not a huge running fan, but I do a 5k every Thanksgiving with some friends, and a 10k in the spring just to be able to say I did it. I was overdue for new shoes, figured I'd try out a plated shoe, this one came recommended as the optimal compromise between sheer performance and performance-robbing excessive comfort. I have been very impressed with it compared to the Brooks shoes it replaced. I trained for about four weeks before Thanksgiving, running about 20 miles/week with an even split between longer and slower, and fast intervals. It felt more comfortable, faster, while ever so slightly less stable than my various Brooks shoes. What I mean by the stability critique is it's a pretty lightweight mesh-based top, and there is not as much show contacting the ground, so yes it may wobble around a bit more if you haven't got your foot plants dialed in. Most of my training miles were in the 8-9 minute range, my intervals were closer to max effort, both felt great. On race day I bested my PR from a few years ago with a 5k at 7:10/mi pace, and can safely say I am not in the running condition I was in back then, so I'm very pleased with the shoe. For reference, I'm a mid-foot striker, ~135lb.

The Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 is easily one of the best running shoes I’ve ever owned. It strikes the perfect balance between speed and comfort — lightweight enough for tempo runs and races, yet cushioned enough for long training days. The PWRRUN PB foam midsole gives an incredibly smooth, springy ride, and the nylon plate adds just the right pop without feeling stiff or harsh. The fit is spot-on: snug through the midfoot with a roomy toe box and excellent lockdown. The upper feels premium — breathable, flexible, and super comfortable even on hot days. I’ve put in several miles already, and they still feel fresh every time I lace them up.

This is an amazing fast-paced training shoe if you have the right foot shape. You need to have a fairly thin banana shaped foot for these to work. They are narrower than the endorphin pro four. They feel very similar to that super shoe but they are a little heavier and they bottom out slightly for me even though I only weigh about 160 lb. I would probably not wear these for anything longer than a half marathon. For up tempo training these are amazing with a great super foam feel and a pretty aggressive rocker geometry up at the toe. I don't notice the plate as much as I noticed the stiffer carbon plate in the pros but to me that is a good thing. On sale for around a hundred bucks these are a steal. Long-term sole durability maybe an issue but I put shoe goo on them prior to wearing to protect my typical impact zones.

Update: You can read my blah, blah below this update as I compare the previous iterations to the ES4. I've now put on 400 miles in this shoe. - For me, these didn't "soften" up for a good 30-40 miles. At that point they didn't feel nearly as harsh as out of the box. Once they softened up, I was able to do longer runs; I originally thought I'd only be able to do 6 mile runs in them. - I have wide-ish feet with my right foot being wider. I found that if I used an alternating lacing pattern on my right shoe that it gave me a little more comfort as the upper was able to expand more to accommodate my foot width. - I have since bought another pair of ES4's and went up a half size (from 9.5 to 10). Going up a half size now gives me a little more width and yet isn't overly long - I now can lace these shoes up normally. But yes, that same firmness is back so for me there's still going to be the initial break-in period before these soften up. My original review: A brief run down on shoes before I discuss the ES4. Note that I'm an old dude and my high mileage weeks are only 40-45 miles; I generally only do one speed workout a week. I'm old! I train by heart rate but still observe my pace to heart rate and notice how shoes can affect my pace. I consider myself to have a wide foot but usually not so bad that I need to buy the wide version of shoes. * Endorphin Speeds 1 & 2: hands down my all time favorite shoe. I actually couldn't tell the difference between the two. Propulsive yet cushioned, these were great for my slow easy runs and my speed workouts. I found I could run in a low heart rate (zone 2) and yet still average around a 9:20 (good period) to a 9:40 (bad period). They fit just a little tight around the toe box area but I'd only feel it if my form sucked and I was running slowly. Slow/easy runs: very good Workouts: excellent * Endorphin Speed 3: I felt this was a slightly slower shoe with a bigger platform. I never liked to walk around in the ES 1 & 2 as it was wobbly at walking paces but I could walk in the ES3. My paces were just a touch slower than the ES 1& 2 by like maybe 5 seconds or so per mile across all heart rate zones. It had a wider toe box so I never felt discomfort but I think the added "girth" of the shoe compared to the ES 1&2 made it less propulsive somehow. Slow/easy runs: excellent Workouts: very good And now to the ES4. The pros are that it feels more propulsive than even the ES 1 & 2. My paces are around 10 seconds faster than those shoes. However the toe box is narrow on my foot causing rubbing on my pinkie toe and my foot expands the upper so much that it partially extends over the sole of the shoe. In other words, if I look at the shoe from above, I can see my foot spilling over the sides of the shoe. The other thing is that it seems as if the shoe rewards heel striking. When I run slowly, I land on my forefoot and these feel like they have no cushion up front. Whereas there's a ton of foam on the back including a huge protrusion on the heel. I have to consciously over stride and land on the bulky heel of the shoe for these not to feel like I'm running in a life style shoe not meant for running. Oh and even when I land on the most cushioned part of the shoe near the back, it still doesn't feel as plush as the earlier Speeds. Because of the way they feel, I'm going to relegate these shoes to speed work only and for shorter runs (6 miles or less). Slow/easy runs: nope Workouts: excellent but I can't do anything long due to the harsh landing and fit of the shoe On a side note, I tried the NB Rebel V.4. These feel like the ES 1 & 2 when landing; they've got great cushion when you strike the pavement. And yet, regarding fit they're more like the ES3 and oh, so comfortable. Unfortunately without a plate they lack the propulsive feeling. The shoe is light enough for a fast turnover but because of the lack of push, you're not getting the same speed you would out of a plated shoe. If only New Balance would offer a plated Rebel, this would be my ES 1 & 2 replacement!
