    • Make it taller but it works well
It works well but for my MacBook Pro it needs to be a bit taller to lay completely flush on the desk. The USB-C connector is at a slight angle and am worried about long term damage to the port. I put a small folded piece of paper underneath it when in use and I’m looking for a piece of adhesive foam to solve the problem. ... show more

    • A slightly odd, ungainly, buggy, and potentially risky device.
The idea of this appealed to me more in theory than in practice, for a couple of reasons. 1.) I don't like cables. 2.) I like wireless charging if possible. But there are a few problems: 1.) For traveling, this didn't come with any case, and with a metal USB Type-C port flailing around, it's too risky to leave this next to a laptop for fear of scraping it all up. It would have been nice to at least have had a foldable USB Type-C connector. 2.) If you press down too hard (say, by accident) on this dock when it's connected to the laptop you will more than likely do some serious damage to the dock and/or MacBook Pro. There's also a lot of movement in the dock in terms of wiggling when connected, which I don't care for. 3.) There is a white LED on the dock which lights up at all times. Whether you're charging or not charging your AirPods, if the dock is plugged in it lights up. That makes no sense to me. It should be illuminated when the AirPods are charging, and not illuminated when they are not charging. Or at least a different color to denote charging status. 4.) Lastly, I'm seeing peculiar behavior when the AirPods are fully charged. With all my other wireless chargers, the light is briefly amber on the case when charging (and then goes out), and green if the unit is fully charged - and that light also goes out after a few seconds. With this dock the light goes green when fully charged, and then flickers/goes out/comes back on - the whole time, - a peculiarity I'm not fond of. Overall, it's an interesting idea, but I'm not overly impressed, and I think with a bit more thought and testing this could have been a much better product than it is. 3 stars out of 5.
