Amazing for West Coast Swing! Lightweight, breathable, flexible, I love the freedom my feet have while dancing. Easy to slip on and off, and they stay on while I'm dancing. I'm typically a size 9 so I tried both the 8-8.5 and 9-9.5. The 9-9.5 fit on easily but felt a little loose which made me feel like I would be more likely to slip. The 8-8.5 was very snug and only fit if I wore no or very thin socks, but I liked how stable it made my foot feel. I also knew that over time it would stretch out. I've been very happy with the 8-8.5, so even if it feels a little tight at the beginning know that it will stretch out over time and get more comfortable. The suede on the bottom makes the shoe perfectly slippery so turn are easy. If you want something with more grip look elsewhere. Also surprisingly comfortable, I've worn them at conventions during multiple workshops and social danced in them for hours and my feet don't get tired in them. I'm sure slipping in an insole would work if needed. And can't beat how easy they are to pack into your bag or suitcase. ... show more

I bought these because I was looking for dance shoes that would be comfortable for my wide feet. Normally, I wear a 10.5 Wide and they said to size up for wide feet so I bought the 11-11.5 woman’s size. At first when I tried them on, I noticed they were very comfortable but I wasn’t sure how they would be for balance because it felt like the sole was only in the middle of my feet and it didn’t cover the whole width of my foot. But I tried them out, and after a night of dancing West Coast Swing. I didn’t notice that anymore. I didn’t have any issues with balance, and the sole is great for turns and spins. I used them for ballroom dancing the next night. These are extremely comfortable dance shoes that stay on well and work beautifully. ... show more

These look and feel very nice, but ...I bought the largest size available (11) I'm a man that wears a 10.5 shoe. I couldn't even begin to get them on. I tried. I would have torn them. They run small (1.5 size small?) and narrow. If a bigger size was available, I'd get them. I may feel just a bit more masculine after this experience! ... show more

My daughter loves these jazz shoes. We have had a hard time purchasing for her in the past because she has wide feet and is very sensitive to anything that is too tight. Seeing as most jazz shoes are made from a leather or pleather type material, they tend to be tight until they're broken in. Unfortunately, she just can't get to that point. These shoes are made from a stretchy, canvas like material which solves all our problems! They also look great and seem to be made of high quality, durable material.     • Slippery and Unstable Despite Following the Size Chart
Size: 8-8.5 Women/7-7.5 Men Color: Black
I carefully measured my foot and ordered according to the manufacturer’s size chart, so the length appears correct. However, my foot does not fill enough of the shoe’s interior to keep the canvas edges lifted off the floor. When I point my foot or place weight toward the inside during certain steps and poses, the canvas around the inner heel and sole makes contact with the floor. The canvas is extremely slippery, which makes the shoe feel unstable and unsafe during those movements. I do not feel securely supported when pointing, stepping inward, or holding poses. The shoes are lightweight and breathable, but the narrow sole design and exposed canvas contact areas make them unsuitable for me as dance shoes. ... show more

LOVE these dance shoes! We are West Coast Swing dancers and these shoes have been fabulous. I love them for practice, but also used them in a competition recently where I wanted to feel 'sort of barefoot'. They are snug yet not too tight and they don't slip off! The suede on bottom is just enough without being too thick. These are also fantastic to keep in my dance bag even when I wear other shoes.....always good to have a back up pair & these take up so little room! I'm normally a solid 8.5, but sometimes 8.....got the 8's and they are perfect. When I wore a pair in, I thought maybe I'd try a 7, but those were way too snug. Stuck with the 8's and they're perfect....still allowing a little breathing room while never slipping off. ... show more
