Unlike most shoes, wood clogs won’t bend so your heel will lift as you walk. This may take some getting used to if you’re new to clogs. Take your time, wear your clogs for short periods while you become accustomed to the gentle rock of the wood base. How do I find my Sandgrens size? Measure your feet and compare the length measurements (of both feet) to the measurements found in the size guide to ensure the perfect fit. Keep in mind that sizing may vary between styles, so always refer to the specific size guide for each design. Does the leather stretch? Our leathers stretch to some extent as it conforms to your foot. It will however not stretch to the extent that it loses its shape. You should not downsize with the expectation that the leather stretching will make your clogs too big. Will the leather soften with wear? Breaking in high quality leathers may take some time. As you break it in it'll conform to your foot, loosen its grain and become more supple. If you want to speed up the process, we’d recommend massaging the leather in-between wears. What type of leathers do you use? How do I care for them? At Sandgrens we use only the finest leathers to craft our authentic Swedish clogs. I wanted a pair of clogs badly. You know, retro look, wooden sole, the whole thing. And after hours and days of research, I set my mind on the Sandgrens. After many chats with Sandgrens, and emails, and measuring and nonsense to no end, came up with what should be my sizing. For the record, in EU I normally go for 37,5. Once in the US, 8 was normally spot on. A tiny bit too big, but since I have a ridiculous high arch, 8 does the job, specially when in doubt and wanting to order something online. My main concern to order these was not really knowing which size to order. I measured my foot to no end, and Sandgrens told me that I should go for a 38, which in Amazon equates to a 7-7.5. I explained to them my food is normal to wide but my arch is high. Like really high! So after debating I placed my amazon order for a 8-8,5 which is the EU 39. And just crossed my fingers for it to work. Now, the Dublin is more narrow than the other styles, so took that into consideration. The result? They fit to perfection. My right foot is slightly more snugged than the left but all in all is perfect. The clogs are gorgeous, they have slightly different colors but that is fine by me since they are hand made and all that jazz. Now, the left one has a bit of a prick in the tip of it, so I am debating about if I should keep it or exchange it for a new pair. I still don’t know. Hence I’m giving it 4 stars. Now the reason why I’m writing this review is to help other to choose their size and spare them the time it took me to figure it out. So this is my advice: If you have a normal foot with normal arch and narrow to normal width, follow Sandgrens recommendation, if not, if you have done too much bare foot walking in your life or if your foot is a bit chunkier, or you have a high arch, go a size up on the EU scale and rather ignore Sandgrens recommendation. Just get your usual US sizing, which is generous and will have enough room for that extra volume of foot you have. Don’t bother measuring it, it wont do it cause it doesn’t take in consideration the overall volume of the foot. And definitely go by your bigger foot. We all have one! Now all that being said, these are lovely and very comfortable though I see how I have ahead of me at least a whole painful week of breaking them in...because of my ridiculous arch. But then, I’m used to it. The shipping was fast and all in all, painful thinking aside on the style and size to pick, these are worthy. Now, bare in mind all clogs from Sandgrens have different sizing. My thoughts apply to the Dublin. If I were to purchase another style which I likely will at some point, I would take again into consideration the width of it, and go from there. I think Sandgrens should have a system in which the width is taken into consideration...inches way, not generic reference. I hope this helps, and clog away! These are a delight! UPDATE: So I requested an exchange because the one was defective. They were extremely helpful and oh so fast. After a week or so of wearing them I am absolutely in love. They are beyond comfortable, and the breaking in process is much faster than expected. I am so happy with my pirchase, I’m thinking on getting another pair in a different color and design.     • Well Made Swedish Wooden Base Clogs
Size: 6 Color: Dexter Tan Nubuck (Dark Brown Base)
I am a size 6.5 or 7 depending on the footwear and a medium width. I have purchased Swedish clogs in the past and always went with a 37 EU size and it fit perfect. The size chart for these clogs show a size 6 - 6.5 = 37 EU and a size 7 - 7.5 = 38 EU. After reading many reviews about the clogs running small, I ordered a size up and got the EU 38 instead of EU 37. Big mistake. They were TOO BIG! There was more than a quarter inch showing from my heel to the end of the clog while standing up. The heel should come to the end of the clog (open heel clogs). So I had to return them and reorder the 37 EU. Once I received the 37 EU they fit perfectly. Please note that they will be tight at the beginning. This is real leather that needs to be broken in, this is normal. There was an insert in the box from he manufacturer that stated the clogs should be worn a few hours every day (to break them in). My clogs are very comfortable and I like the 3 inch height of them too. The clogs are very well made, definitely worth the price. ... show more

I am MOST disappointed and upset !!! after initially being excited about my purchase. As a registered nurse I spend many hours on my feet both when I am on & off work, so having a pair of shoes which are the correct size and comfortable is MOST important! I purchased a size 7-7.5 US only to receive a size 38 EU sent to me. Size 38 EU when I researched it is a size 6-6.5 US, however the seller posted 7-7.5 US as being 38 EU . The shoe appears sturdy .A lot of lost time, effort and money! Now I am back at square one along with searching for a vendor I can trust ! ... show more

I love these but if you have any sort of foot pain don't get these. I do but unfortunately I haven't seen any warning about the absolute tightly fitting shoe. These sexy clogs came with instructions to which they tell us to not give up on these extremely snug clogs & to continue wearing them until they stretch out enough. However, its agony. I just hope I can pay someone else to walk around in my shoes for me to stretch them. ... show more

I really like these clogs unfortunately I have wide feet and have been having to stretch them I ordered the 8 if I let them stretch a bit longer they will fit no doubt. I had the same problem previously and the clogs fit perfectly after the initial stretch but if you don’t have wide feet you’ll be absolutely fine with true to size. I ordered these clogs in Olive based on another person’s review, and immediately had buyer’s remorse because they’re pretty expensive. I fully intended to send them back as soon as they arrived. Then I received them and tried them on and fell in love! I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 and these fit me perfectly in size 38. These clogs do have some arch support and I was able to wear them all day without any discomfort. The wood sole is not heavy at all and they are sleeker and less clomp-y than I expected. As for color, the olive is a beautiful green and I love the dark wood sole. These are my new favorite shoes! If you’re on the fence, just try them and see if they work for you. ... show more
