I wanted a pair of clogs badly. You know, retro look, wooden sole, the whole thing. And after hours and days of research, I set my mind on the Sandgrens. After many chats with Sandgrens, and emails, and measuring and nonsense to no end, came up with what should be my sizing. For the record, in EU I normally go for 37,5. Once in the US, 8 was normally spot on. A tiny bit too big, but since I have a ridiculous high arch, 8 does the job, specially when in doubt and wanting to order something online. My main concern to order these was not really knowing which size to order. I measured my foot to no end, and Sandgrens told me that I should go for a 38, which in Amazon equates to a 7-7.5. I explained to them my food is normal to wide but my arch is high. Like really high! So after debating I placed my amazon order for a 8-8,5 which is the EU 39. And just crossed my fingers for it to work. Now, the Dublin is more narrow than the other styles, so took that into consideration. The result? They fit to perfection. My right foot is slightly more snugged than the left but all in all is perfect. The clogs are gorgeous, they have slightly different colors but that is fine by me since they are hand made and all that jazz. Now, the left one has a bit of a prick in the tip of it, so I am debating about if I should keep it or exchange it for a new pair. I still don’t know. Hence I’m giving it 4 stars. Now the reason why I’m writing this review is to help other to choose their size and spare them the time it took me to figure it out. So this is my advice: If you have a normal foot with normal arch and narrow to normal width, follow Sandgrens recommendation, if not, if you have done too much bare foot walking in your life or if your foot is a bit chunkier, or you have a high arch, go a size up on the EU scale and rather ignore Sandgrens recommendation. Just get your usual US sizing, which is generous and will have enough room for that extra volume of foot you have. Don’t bother measuring it, it wont do it cause it doesn’t take in consideration the overall volume of the foot. And definitely go by your bigger foot. We all have one! Now all that being said, these are lovely and very comfortable though I see how I have ahead of me at least a whole painful week of breaking them in...because of my ridiculous arch. But then, I’m used to it. The shipping was fast and all in all, painful thinking aside on the style and size to pick, these are worthy. Now, bare in mind all clogs from Sandgrens have different sizing. My thoughts apply to the Dublin. If I were to purchase another style which I likely will at some point, I would take again into consideration the width of it, and go from there. I think Sandgrens should have a system in which the width is taken into consideration...inches way, not generic reference. I hope this helps, and clog away! These are a delight! UPDATE: So I requested an exchange because the one was defective. They were extremely helpful and oh so fast. After a week or so of wearing them I am absolutely in love. They are beyond comfortable, and the breaking in process is much faster than expected. I am so happy with my pirchase, I’m thinking on getting another pair in a different color and design. For the record, I have never wore wooden clogs before and thought would take me forever to get use to them. I was mistaken.

I am a size 6.5 or 7 depending on the footwear and a medium width. I have purchased Swedish clogs in the past and always went with a 37 EU size and it fit perfect. The size chart for these clogs show a size 6 - 6.5 = 37 EU and a size 7 - 7.5 = 38 EU. After reading many reviews about the clogs running small, I ordered a size up and got the EU 38 instead of EU 37. Big mistake. They were TOO BIG! There was more than a quarter inch showing from my heel to the end of the clog while standing up. The heel should come to the end of the clog (open heel clogs). So I had to return them and reorder the 37 EU. Once I received the 37 EU they fit perfectly. Please note that they will be tight at the beginning. This is real leather that needs to be broken in, this is normal. There was an insert in the box from he manufacturer that stated the clogs should be worn a few hours every day (to break them in). My clogs are very comfortable and I like the 3 inch height of them too. The clogs are very well made, definitely worth the price.

I previously purchased all my clogs at The Solvang Shoe Store which is quite a distance for me to travel to buy shoes. I was so pleased to find these made by Sandgrens. So convenient. I love them so much, I purchased every color and heel heights. They are so comfortable and have an amazing selection of colors. They also come in varied heel heights. I wear a size six and they fit perfectly with thin or thick socks. Wonderful support for my feet and ankles. The outer part is a suede texture and I wore them in light rain with no problems. But of course they don’t take the place of rain or snow boots. It takes a moment to get used to the wooden style but once you do, regular shoes are never enough. I highly recommend this company for your clog needs. It’s kind of a plus/minus for me now that I don’t have to travel 200 miles to purchase my clogs which has made my husband very happy. I’m going to have to find another good excuse to visit the beautiful town of Solvang, CA.

I am MOST disappointed and upset !!! after initially being excited about my purchase. As a registered nurse I spend many hours on my feet both when I am on & off work, so having a pair of shoes which are the correct size and comfortable is MOST important! I purchased a size 7-7.5 US only to receive a size 38 EU sent to me. Size 38 EU when I researched it is a size 6-6.5 US, however the seller posted 7-7.5 US as being 38 EU . The shoe appears sturdy .A lot of lost time, effort and money! Now I am back at square one along with searching for a vendor I can trust !

I have tried Dansko and Swedish hasbeens both of which did not fit my feet properly. I am true size US 10 normal width but the Dansko 41 is short and 42 is too big. Swedish HB were way too uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time I ended up giving them away. This clog style of Sandgrens fits like a glove in 41. They are super comfortable and so flattering to the feet- a plus for people with bigger sized feet. The heel is perfect if you are not into super high heels and want a little lift. I got the grey color and they are beautiful in person. They seem to not need much breaking in which surprised me based on other reviews- this might be the color of the leather? My search is over for the perfect clog! I definitely recommend this product and want more colors!

The shoes are cute but run small and narrow. I wear a 39 in Birkenstocks. The size 41 in these clogs were too narrow and tight over the instep. A size 42 would probably fit. But the leather is so thick, I can't imagine these stretching enough to be comfortable. Overall, disappointing. Though, the olive color is beautiful.
