Helped my brother with defective charging port. Few things: 1) As it is a wireless charger, it's not superfast bit still pretty decent. Does NOT charge Watch5 unlike questions suggest it will, the light is blinking instead of being static - probably a sign that there's an incompatibility issue.

    • Handy little thing
Someone recommended this because the other wired charger was enlarging the receptacle hole in my cell phone which was undesirable because that resulted in a poor connection and then the failure of the phone to charge. This corrected that.

    • Wish it would charge faster
This is my first wireless charger so I am not sure if this is faster than most but it doesnt do "fast charging" like our wired charger does. If you are cool with this being your overnight charger than yea its fine and it does go through my phone case.

Wireless charging, WooHoo! Easy right? Just plonk the phone down on the pad and it starts charging. Well, no. I don't have a case on my phone but I still have to lay it down and wiggle it around until I get it in Exactly the right place before it begins charging.     • Fast Charging But Phone Position Is Critical - A Bit Disappointing
I have been using the standard Qi chargers that come with my Samsung Galaxy phones (currently an S9) which work well albeit a bit slow. When this "fast charge" pad showed up for sale during Thanksgiving, I figured it was cheap enough to give it a try and I purchased it. End result is it works but is a bit disappointing. With the standard round normal chargers, I pop my phone on it every day at work to top it off or at night when I get home and it charges the phone even if I have the phone a bit high or low on the pad. This new fast charge pad is VERY critical regarding phone placement and, though it might start charging if you have the phone a bit too high or too low, it ultimately pauses and stops charging until you notice the LED on the phone is off. Otherwise you come back later and the phone is still at whatever percentage it was at when you placed it on the charger. I have to then slide the phone up a bit or down a bit until it reactivates and continues charging. While this is not really a hardship, it's more finicky and annoying than the regular charger which is more forgiving than the square fast charger. So in that respect it's annoying and a disappointment that it's not as easy to use as the standard charger. If I were to do this again, I would not buy one and just stick with the regular chargers that come with the phone. Slower but more forgiving in placement and, since they came with the phones, also free. ... show more
