I forget how big and beautiful the screen is until someone new comes to my house to see it, and theyre always impressed. so many features and the picture is so good switching over from an ips panel. the deep blacks and vibrant color are instantly noticeable. the stand is premium and has tons of smooth adjustment options, and the highest point is a really good viewing angle for a 6'0 ft person. the base is flat so it doesn't seem like it takes up much desk space. highly recommend this oled ultrawide for gaming, you won't be disappointed. the width makes every game more immersive. edited after 2 months to add: i too had connectivity issues within the first few days. the screen would turn off randomly after i closed a game, and sometime screen would flicker. all you have to do is turn off G Sync. that will fix both of those issues. ... show more

Plug in via mini-HDMI 2.1? Instant success, crisp 5120x1440 resolution at 120Hz, stable as a rock, with proper EDID recognition when labeled as a PC input and Game Mode enabled. But switch to DisplayPort? Dead silence. The monitor taunts you with “Turn on the device connected to DisplayPort.” No signal negotiation. No link training. No image, ever. It’s not intermittent; it’s a total blackout, as if the port doesn’t exist. This wasn’t a half-hearted debug session. Let's start with the good. Once I got it set up, the display on this monitor is truly beautiful, and justifies this price point and any hassle carrying (it's pretty heavy). It's also 1000R, which not many manufacturers curve their screen that much. Props for the manufacturing and design of the screen, it's the best I've ever had the privilege of using. But that's about all I can say that's positive. The first thing I noticed was how horrible the stock VESA adapter was. I could not for the life of me screw it on with my hands. I had to pull out a power drill to get it in, which is all kinds of wrong. It's a small thing, but for this price point I expect these kinds of small things to not be hassles. The second thing I noticed was that this is not a monitor, its a smart TV. Which means navigating the menu using just the joystick is a real pain. But it also means my Samsung TV remote also turns on and controls my monitor, at the same time. Who's idea was this? Why am I being punished for having another Samsung product? Turning off Anynet+ did not fix the issue. Only disabling IR helped, but that locked me into navigating a truly obnoxious menu system with just the joystick. The third thing I noticed was that the monitor locks a lot of display settings behind "Game mode". But game mode has a really obnoxious menu that shows up every time I turn the monitor on or switch inputs. I don't want my monitor displaying it's menu and settings unless I asked it to. It's supposed to be displaying my PC. Why can't I turn on HDR10 and adaptive sync on a different mode? The fourth thing I noticed was that HDR10 wasn't supported over HDMI, and neither was the full resolution the monitor was capable of. This was true on both my Windows and Linux pc. Why this is, I couldn't tell you. The HDMI 2.1 port has a larger bandwidth than the DP 1.4 port so it seems like an intentional middle finger. Whatever though, just use DP I guess. Turns a monitor that already lacked in port quantity into one that only has a single functional port. The fifth thing I noticed was a lack of DDC/CI support on both hdmi and DP for both windows and Linux. DDC/CI is a standard protocol that let's your PC control your monitor. Every monitor I have ever had as an adult has supported this protocol. This means if I want to change my monitor settings from my PC I cannot and I'm forced to navigate the menu. Which I hate as discussed above. Why would they not include this? Probably because Samsung thinks this is a TV and not a monitor and treats it as such. Ultimately I'm deciding to return this, and probably be looking to a different manufacturer for computer monitors for the next while. I cannot fathom how they manage to screw up such an otherwise beautiful display with inane software. So if you decide to buy this and try it out, keep the box for a bit; you may end up wanting to return it too. ... show more

This monitor completely transformed my setup. The OLED panel looks amazing with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast, especially for gaming and HDR content. Motion clarity is extremely smooth and games feel incredibly immersive on a 49-inch ultrawide at high refresh rates. I use it with a high-end PC setup and the experience has been fantastic for both gaming and multitasking. Having the extra screen space is great for productivity, and it easily replaces a dual-monitor setup while looking much cleaner. The curve takes a little time to get used to, but once adjusted it feels natural and very immersive. Text clarity and overall image quality have also been better than expected for daily use. It’s definitely a premium monitor with a premium price tag, but if you want a top-tier ultrawide OLED experience, this thing is seriously impressive. ... show more
