  • Awesome monitor
Playing racing games at around 100 to 144 fps, 4k with ultra details is sweet! System only has a 7900xt in it, so that's all she push. Big visual difference the 144hz over my old 60hz monitor has. Speakers are awesome as well. Yes the hub interface is annoying and a little sluggish and if you happen to use it last a TV and you have turned the TV off then your computer on you will have to change the input. Doesn't automatically detect the inputs. Had 1 issue where it failed to display properly when I turned it on, had to unplug and plug the display cable back in. I wish it was just a true gaming monitor and not try to be both that and a TV. Sure it's not an OLED screen, but paid half as much for it and the colors and games look awesome and in the end that's what matters to me. Baldurs Gate 2 looks amazing on it. ... show more

  • Flickers and just acts like the computer is shut off is just not worth it.
Great screen, but don't buy. Some write-ups show issues, and I figured I would be okay, but not so. Rebooting the computer, which I know is working great, is not acceptable. Nothing else works; the screen is set up, connections redone, and any button on the keyboard or mouse does nothing. Flickers on and off, but not recognizing the computer at all is the real aggravation. Just pass by and by a different screen. This one may get booted across the yard on a day for real. ... show more

  • Great all around Monitor TV
I've had this monitor for about a month and I must say WOW. I bought a m70b in 43 inches before this and it's a night and day difference. This monitor has better HDR, brightness, Adaptive brightness, and the mini LED panel just looks great. I'm currently running a 4070 Super through a Razer Core X Chroma to this monitor and it's going at full 4k @144hz. I'm surprised. I mainly use this for editing videos and pictures and I must say WOW. Samsung has a neat option to calibrate the screen with a Samsung Galaxy phone. Once calibrated the overall contrast changed and the colors were less saturated. I highly recommend this if possible. You can change how your Monitor interacts with various inputs. I have my work laptop from USBC to HDMI, then my personal computer from DP to DP. I know some have issues but there's settings for that, just change it to your liking. I can wake my computer from sleep with my keyboard and it wakes the monitor up as well. I had settings before where it didn't let it turn on after sleep. Cons: The speakers are not the best, but they will do for the time being. ... show more

  • Once you figure out its quirks, it's a really pleasant monitor to use
UPDATE - 8/26/2025: The problems I was having with my laptop crashing were all related to connecting my laptop to the monitor via HDMI. Once I figured that out and purchased a Display Port KVM so I could toggle between work and personal laptops, the crashing ceased entirely. Love this monitor and have no regrets in buying it. I hate to give things five stars since nothing is perfect but I'd certainly give it 4.5 if I could. I purchased this monitor because I only wanted to use one monitor for work and play, so it needed to have better than 60hz refresh rate and I wanted a larger 4k monitor because my eyes are not getting any better as I age. The PPI is about the same as a 27" 1440p monitor, and I find myself not having to squint any more than I used to have to with them. For work, I use the full 4K resolution and for gaming, I use the 3840x1600 resolution which leaves horizontal bars at the top and bottom of the screen. I have a laptop with an RTX 4080 and while it can do true 4K in demanding games, I prefer to get a few more frames out of it and run in ultrawide. It's also easier to use in this aspect ratio when sitting up close and using a mouse and keyboard. The monitor remembers which input is using which setting so there is never a problem when switching inputs. The only huge issue I have with the inputs is that when launching a game on my laptop, if the game is in full screen mode, it will disable my laptop's ability to output to the monitor and I can't even switch back to the laptop's native screen which causes me to have to cold boot the laptop. I have to run all games in borderless fullscreen, and that has to be configured before trying to launch the game while this monitor is inactive. Additionally, I can't make any screen related configuration changes, like activating HDR on my laptop without the same result. I briefly had an OLED monitor of the same size (which I accidentally broke in a freak wardrobe malfunction accident involving a belt after just a few weeks of owning it). I replaced that monitor with this one. I was concerned I wasn't going to find the picture quality to be comparable. I guess I don't believe it is but I find there are definitely positives to this monitor. For one, I don't have to obsess over potential burn-in, and because of that I can run this monitor with much higher brightness. This isn't even an issue, I as I run the monitor at 10/50 brightness while working and 20/50 on my personal laptop for gaming. The colors are vivid and while I notice bloom from time to time due to the auto dimming backlight zones, the blacks are very black and the image is pleasing to me. One day I'd like to calibrate the monitor, but so far I've just tuned it to what looks good enough and I roll with it. There's supposed to be some crazy smearing going on with this monitor and when I first got it I could swear it was horrible and I was going to return the monitor... but I don't even notice it anymore. It looks and plays fine to me. I've been playing Jedi Survivor recently on all high settings at the ultrawide resolution I mentioned above with DLSS quality and frame gen on and I'm getting about 100 - 110 fps consistently and it looks awesome. The biggest surprise to me about this monitor is how much I'm using the smart TV features. My desk for work is in my bedroom and if I've ever had a TV in the bedroom before, it would collect dust. With this monitor, I find my wife and I watching movies/TV shows/relaxing youtube videos using the smart TV features. The smart TV interface is slow and clunky, but functional. Finally, the sound is adequate. It's not bad, it's not great but it gets the job done. Cheers, if you can get this monitor for $500 and nothing I've mentioned is a deal breaker, then it may not be a bad purchase for you! ... show more

  • Flawless Dual-Monitor Setup for Work & Play
I purchased two of these Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 monitors for my home office, and they've exceeded every expectation. The 4K clarity is stunning whether I'm coding, writing documents, or gaming - text appears razor-sharp and colors pop with the Quantum Matrix technology. The 144Hz refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth, especially when gaming after hours. What impresses me most is their versatility: • Productivity powerhouse with ample screen real estate • Gaming beast with 1ms response and FreeSync Premium Pro • Stellar HDR performance for media consumption The slim bezels create an immersive dual-screen experience, and the smart features add convenience. After months of daily use across work and entertainment, I've had zero regrets - just consistent, premium performance. For professionals who game or creatives needing color accuracy, these are worth every penny. ... show more

  • Not worth 50%, and certainly not worth full MSRP.
I love Samsung for a lot of reasons, but their monitors are absolutely NOT one of them. I feel bad for anyone who paid $1000 for this, let alone $700 or $500 if you can get a "super" sale. Maybe $300 at best, $200 if you consider all of the annoyances you have to go through to use this "smart" monitor. To even call this a monitor is a little absurd. It's loaded with their crappy "smart" TV software, prioritizes trying to load their Samsung Plus app over any real content. The remote has shortcuts for Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video as well. No way to change the mapping of those buttons, and even better, no way to even change the input. Supports multiple inputs? SURE DOES! Want to change between those inputs? Get ready to spend over 30 seconds navigating all of the different menus to then try to get to the one that lets you change your input and then waiting 30+ more seconds for it to switch over, do whatever math it has to do on it's digital abacus brain to figure out a handshake with that signal, and another 30 for it finally actually show the content and stop flickering around trying to figure out if it can support HDR or high refresh rate. Never mind if it is the same input that has always been connected, it's like 50 First Dates of switching and negotiating. Live in a dorm and want a TV that can occasional monitor... still don't buy this, you're way overpaying. But if you're just so loaded you don't care, then go for it. It would fit that use case perfectly. IT professional who wanted something other than a 32" monitor and didn't want to use an actual TV? Just get 4x 32" monitors for the same price and make a monitor wall. Randomly wakes itself up in the middle of the night and goes to it's bright blue "error, can't figure out how to monitor!" screen waiting for an input. Randomly will wake up as though the backlight is broken and be half the brightness it was right before going to sleep. Have to turn it off and back on again to get it to "realize" it was supposed to turning itself back on. Color is okay. Doesn't match any of the other Samsung Odyssey monitors though, even when loading the same color profile and settings across all of them. Tried having several of these series purchased at the same time right next to each other and I could have gotten closer buying three completely random brands. Picture quality is okay. Again, not worth $1000. This should MSRP at $500 at most, and be on sale for $399 or less permanently. HDR is all over the place, no matter whether using HDMI or DisplayPort, or Mac or Windows. Have to jack all of the settings way beyond a comfortable level for anything other than full ambient light viewing just to get good color reproducibility for even amateur photo or graphic design work. Connect this to the internet at your own peril if you want new Samsung apps forcefully shoved onto your display, and having it move all of your actual shortcuts out of the way so Samsung Plus can be front and center again after you hid or moved it. Samsung - Stick to phones, and whatever other kitchen appliances you want. But stay away from TVs and monitors. ... show more

  • Wow the graphics wow the gaming available! 😱
My god! This is unbelievable! I bought this as a gaming station for my PC/XBox. I am just blown away! The graphics are that stunning in game it takes my breath away. COD/ Horizon/Skyrim/Witcher basically any game be it intense Multiplayer like COD or single player like Hogwarts or Biomutant— just crisp super fast clear and immersive. Sound is pristine. Anyone reading people that are picking ridiculous things to complain about — DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM! I bought the 43” and it’s huge. I use this in my lounge as I game from my couch. That is the perfect setup due to its huge size. I didn’t buy this to watch movies but I got one hell of a surprise and the unbelievably lifelike graphic display of movies! My god! It’s like I am seeing something right in front of me in real time. The only CON: This AppStore for this monitor does not have all apps. If you want STEAM to stream to this monitor and your PC is not hooked up you have zero options to play steam games. So you’d need to have a gaming lap top or Pc hooked up to this if you wanted to run steam games from it. Steam deck and remote play did not work for me when trying. ... show more

  • Great Tv/Monitor for next gen (6 month Update is glitchy and flickers)
It’s hard to find 4k at 120 fps cheap. I got this on sale for $500 and I’m absolutely loving it. I will say setup takes a while. Have to make an Samsung account as well as log in to apps on the tv. Absolutely NONE of the preset picture settings are good. I spent a hour or so adjusting settings on hdr and brightness ect. Finally found a good picture while having 4k. Now the local dimming zones are a downside. Any white lettering on a black surface has a ton of bleed thru and is surrounded by a inch of light. That’s acceptable bc it’s normally on loading screens and such. Now the tail from screen tear is very small. A lot of people say it fails ufo test badly but it’s much better than my last setup and that’s all I’m worried about. You could almost think of it as a shadow. Only noticed it on racing games coming from the rear bumper. The sound quality is good enough for a tv. I mean plenty. Another complaint would be the stand is a little wobbly. I mean it’s sturdy it just moves with my steering wheel mounted to the desk. Basically once you set this tv up and get the picture right I’m sure you’ll be just as satisfied as me. Especially if your used to a cheap 4k tv Okay after a while of having this TV not monitor. Here’s some cons…. Everytime I hit a loading screen where there’s a small white wheel in the corner. It’s a strobe fest. I mean flicker like no other. Really need to just look at your phone while anything loads. Now. This has happened a handful of times. But mid game is super annoying when the tv randomly cannot support displaying your next gen console. You get an alert and it doesn’t work for 5 min. You can unplug and turn on and off. And it’ll only work when it wants. Nearly driven my fist thru this over priced VA panel many a times now. So no it’s not perfect. Very glitchy and flickers a lot!! ... show more
