    • Great for Productivity, But Not Ideal for Gaming

I’ve been using the Samsung 27-inch S3 curved monitor for a while now, and for productivity and everyday use, it’s been a fantastic addition to my setup. The curved screen makes multitasking feel more immersive, and the 100Hz refresh rate adds just enough smoothness to make scrolling and window management noticeably more pleasant than standard 60Hz displays. Visually, it’s easy on the eyes. The Eye Saver Mode and flicker-free technology genuinely help during long work sessions, and the matte finish effectively cuts glare. Colors appear balanced, and the text is sharp enough for both documents and web browsing. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this monitor for gaming. While it has a faster refresh rate than some basic models, it lacks key gaming features, such as adaptive sync, customizable overdrive settings, and enhanced motion clarity. There’s no DisplayPort either, which limits compatibility with some graphics cards. If gaming is your priority, there are better-suited monitors out there for around the same price. One thing I noticed when choosing the size: both the 27-inch and 32-inch versions of this monitor are priced almost identically. The difference was only about $5, with both models coming in just under $200. That’s a good deal for a curved monitor with solid build quality and smooth performance. However, when compared to other monitors in the same price range—some of which offer higher resolution, more ports, or better gaming support—this one is a little on the pricier side for what it offers. Still, for work, web browsing, streaming, and general use, it’s a reliable and comfortable display. The built-in speakers are a convenient bonus, though I wouldn’t rely on them for serious audio. The stand only tilts, so you might need a riser or monitor arm if you want height or angle adjustments. In short, if you’re looking for a sleek, curved monitor that’s great for productivity and light entertainment, this one delivers. Great product. Initially got it at a great price ($139) and went back a week later to purchase another one and the price went up to $199. Hopefully it goes on sale again; my kids use it for gaming.

    • DOES NOT SUPPORT AMD FREESYNC

I was extremely happy to get this monitor in, get it set up, and try out some games BUT I noticed a problem when I hooked it up and AMD FreeSync did not appear in the settings menu. So, I called Samsung customer support and asked them why I wasn't seeing an option for FreeSync despite my AMD GPU. They told me that this model (LS27D396GANXZA) does NOT support FreeSync. I showed them the listing here that clearly states that it supports FreeSync, and they said, "we can't control information that isn't on our website". So, NO attempts to remedy the situation whatsoever and now I'm going monitor shopping again, but for a different brand this time. ... show more

Haven’t seen any problems, pretty good if you ask me, easy to set up except for the screws to connect the monitor to the stand. Quality was good, adjustment was good. 137 bucks is really good, looks great, if it’s mess up I’ll let you know.

    • Great for a Second Monitor!

We're using this monitor as a second monitor in our setup. For a second monitor, that's mostly used for light weight gaming and work applications it works perfectly. The graphics and refresh rate aren't going to be great for graphics intense FPS or similar type games but for less demanding games it works just fine. The speakers are decent although honestly we still prefer to use headphones. The color and brightness are decent and they look even better in gaming mode. This monitor is lighter weight in terms of pounds as compared to other monitors we have that are of a similar size. Overall, this monitor was easy to put together with the stand and we think it's best used as a second monitor for our purposes. ... show more
