i had bought this monitor to watch 4k netflix shows. initially the monitor was connected to display port.. set at 3840x2160, 60hz. 4k logo would not show on some of the shows that i know are 4k shows. my LG Ultrafine 4k 22md4k 21.5 monitor show 4k logos for 4k videos. For this monitor, I almost gave up trying to watch 4k shows. Then I used hdmi port connection. setting at 3840x2160, 60hz. 4k shows only work with hdmi port. so pretty happy ending. ... show more

    • Good enough after applying scaling
I have good eyes, but 4k on a screen this size makes text too small to read comfortably until you scale it up a bit. Windows does it automatically pretty well, and you can do it manually in KDE's control center. Games that run in native resolution and don't implement their own scaling are still a challenge when they have small text. Still, even with 115-125% scaling, this monitor is a big step up from 2k. I just don't have the desk space for a bigger one, so this one lets me put more windows on the screen at once. Working from home, it makes a big difference. Just 3 downsides that bother me: 1. There is one dead pixel. 2. My monitor doesn't sit straight on the stand. It tilts down a bit on the right side. I put a shim under that side of the stand to make the monitor almost straight, so it's close enough now. 3. The monitor takes a good 4 seconds to wake from sleep. My old Dell UltraSharp was almost instant, so this is a big step back and sometimes has me wondering if I really woke it up. ... show more

For everybody with a HDM+SDM-monitor system, keep in mind, you might end up with having 3840x2160resolution and 1920x1080. I use 1920 on both so my background pix stay the same. The picture quality is fantastic. The only problem I had (for a short time) was the setting-gismo on the bottom. But u use it once and u r all set. Very recommendable. ... show more

I am not sure why these monitors are getting a bad rep here, but I have no problem with them at all. Superb picture quality, 4k works fantastic, even sustained 60hz. Overall, I am happy with the monitors

    • Second Hand product sold by Amazon and not saying it on the description
Bought this monitor as a NEW one, all the description said it was new. Sold and shipped from Amazon (not Samsung or other seller). When I received it in my US address and sent it to another country (where I live) I discovered the box comes dirty and had an Amazon Sticker saying it's second hand. The picture quality and screen quality is not expected for a 4K monitor. Trying to sent the product back to the warehouse in the US from another country is expensier than the product itself. If I had knew it was second hand or refurbished, I would not buy it even with a discount. Terrible description and waste of money from me. DON'T BUY PRODUCTS THAT APPEARS WITH A DISCOUNT, LOW STOCK AND SAYS SHIPS/SOLD BY AMAZON. Probably is second hand or refurbished. ... show more
