The media could not be loaded. Overall it looks nice and solid. However, the telescopic handler has a very wide movement in both directions, even more than my old much modest luggage. I also noticed that one side of the handler is not properly fixed on the bottom of the luggage. I had higher expectations based on brand perception and the statement that: "Samsonite products are rigorously tested to ensure that the travel products you trust meet stringent standards." And this is my first Samsonite luggage. I still hope that somehow this won't affect the durability of the telescopic handler... I will have a domestic flight in 2 days. For now, I am putting 3 stars (kind of an average rating) and will update my review based on the practical usage of the luggage.

This is a picture of leaving Jamaica with my full set intact... I came home with all my belongings from the largest suitcase in a cheap large duffle bag given to me at the airport in Philly because the handed of my case was completely broke. When in contact with the company.. they said that this case was no longer being made and I was unavailable to get a replacement suitcase😡😡😡😡

This is my first Samsonite luggage bag and my first hardside clam shell case. The design is elegant and the Emerald Green is a beautiful color. The expandable part is a great feature cause it does allow for a lot more luggage. The USB battery bank is a great idea and the case seems pretty resistant to scratches. The wheels seem to be an upgrade compare to other models of a similar price. The size is a little smaller then 22x14x9, it is more like 21x13x9 and expands up to 21x13x11 COMPARED TO SOFTSIDE: From the exterior is looks much smaller than a typical softside, but fits just as much. The clam shell design makes it more difficult to really pack this thing tight, you have to fill both sides separately and then fold it together. There is a possibility that there is a void between the two halves or it doesn't shut from over packing, but this is the case for all hard side luggage. Also when opened it just takes up a lot more floor space, especially if you in a small space The reason for a four star review is that there is some play on the telescopic handler like other reviewers have mentioned, I am going to try to see if I can modify it. Also the wheels are really fluid and nice, but I have a feeling they might not be that durable, if you squeeze the wheels together there is some give. There is also no TSA lock built-in like the previous model. As of now, I would recommend and I am buying a second one in navy. Only time will tell regarding durability. Will report back.

When I received the suitcase the box was damaged and the second picture was the damage to the suitcase. I thought I would use it for my quick trip to see how it holds up, see the first picture, another dent. I no longer have the box to return it, so I am stuck with a Samsonite Centric suitcase that is junk for my $170. Do not buy this item!

My job requires a lot of travel, over 200 days a year. I spent $$$ on this set and had it delivered to the hotel where I was staying. Right away, I found that the lining of the carry on piece was sewn in backwards. In order to open it without half the contents falling out you have to lay it down with the extendable handle up. That piece also has no handle on the long side. The larger pieces have no zipper pocket inside along the hinge side. The wheels are small and don't roll easily. Overall, very disappointing. I've used them for 6 months and looking into replacing them already, but no Samsonite ever again for me.

First time in my life buying luggage. Found these on sale about 1/2 off, so I bought them. So far, after 1 round trip from Memphis to Philly (with a layover in Atlanta going, Chicago coming back), they have held up well. Light weight, easy to pack, easier to maneuver. There appears to be some light scratches from some thoughtful baggage handlers, but nothing major (plus the way the bags are designed with a textured pattern, they will help conceal minor scratching). Overall, thoroughly pleased with this purchase so far. Hopefully future usage won’t change my opinion, but it might be a while before I fly again. Also, to be completely honest, I did not take the smallest bag with me as a carry-on (I used a backpack), so I guess this review is more for the 2 larger bags in the set.

size, design, and sturdiness of the carryon, itself, feels secure. The telescoping handle, to pull the case along, wobbles and feels as if it may not last very long. Given that you can buy pretty solid cases at Costco for $40, the pull-along handle should be really secure. We'll see.

Ive owned many Samsonite luggages and when this first came in I noticed that it was not the same quality as my others. It was thinner, the handle was loose, the wheels were wiggly it scratched very easily, and dented upon my first use. I Have used it three or four times and had to just throw it away on my last trip because one of the corners dented and the wheel no longer works. Either This is a fake Samsonite bag that they’re selling for the same price of a real one or Samsonite’s quality has decreased substantially.
