If u are a fisherman that uses scissors predominately over a knife, u must get these before they disappear! These cut thru braid effortlessly even without providing tension on the line. Other so called "fishing" scissors are no competition , trust me I have been thru a few of all different sizes. These are some bad ass lil scissors. I only cut line (mono & braid) with them....I had a bad habit of using other scissors to cut everything which dulls them out quickly. I ordered a 2nd pair! Update 7/6/2020: I just ordered a 3rd pair to cut bait with...I purchased the Tsunami and Cuda brand scissors at Walmart and they suck...really suck..I threw them in the river the other day!! ... show more

Don’t waste your time. These scissors were purchased for cutting braid while surf fishing on the beach. I used them about 3 times and they already started rusting. I used WD40 to rub out the rust and I was able to remove a lot of it but it’s coming back. These also stopped cutting braided line, instead it would create a tear or shred. I contacted the company and they only offered $2 off another pair. Customer service is bad, don’t even bother. Invest in good braid cutting scissors like Gerber Neat Freak saltwater scissors. ... show more

I purchased these for the fishing boat, but found that I use them for everything. they are small and fit in a pocket, they have a clip to clip to a belt or inside a pocket. I am going to buy another couple pairs, for the boat, for the car, for the kitchen, for the garage.

I was looking into a knife to store on my kayaking vest, went with these instead, they have come in handy many times. Used them to cut braid, mono, and even abandoned trot lines and vines that my lures have gotten stuck in. A good investment for the kayak fisherman.

I'm a beader, and I've been looking for a pair of scissors that would work on cutting Fireline fishing line. I've ruined 3 pair of scissors already, and was about to give up. SAMSFX are absolutely the best I've ever used! They make a clean cut, no fraying, and they have a good feel when I'm using them. They're sturdy, not like some of the more flimsy scissors I'd tried. Craftsmanship seems good but was surprised how poor they are at cutting braid. You have to hold the line tight in order to cut it. I have a cheap set that rusted that had no problem with braid so that’s why I was surprised. Also don’t bother using the holder for them because they don’t come out of the holder without coming rt off your belt. I’m being generous with 3 stars. ... show more
