I’ve tried what feels like every “natural” deodorant out there, and this is the first one that actually delivers on all fronts. The texture is super smooth and glides on without tugging, which I really appreciate since some clean deodorants can be chalky or crumbly. The scent is subtle and fresh without being overpowering — I can put it on in the morning and not feel like it clashes with my perfume later in the day. Most importantly, it works. I’ve worn it through long workdays, workouts, and even hot Midwest summer afternoons, and I never felt like I had to reapply or worry about odor. It doesn’t irritate my skin, and I haven’t noticed any of the usual white marks on darker clothing either. The packaging also feels luxe and sturdy, which makes it look like a premium product instead of something tucked away in the back of the health aisle. For me, this has been worth every penny — it’s one of the few natural deodorants I actually trust and enjoy using daily.

Definitely works for 48 hours! This is a unisex fragrance. High quality package design makes it a nice addition to a vanity, bathroom or gift basket. Very solid and elegant stick design... heavy weight to it, so it looks like this will last a long time. I've been using it for a week with no irritation, reaction, or sweating. This Shea butter formula goes on dry and uniformly. I was hoping for more of a coconut smell, something a little fruitier, but it has a clean, more woodsy scent...also good...

Great packaging and scent, but not effective for me I really liked the Saffron & Cedar scent—it’s subtle, fresh, and has a nice balance between woody and clean. The packaging looks great, the twist-up is smooth, and it applies easily. I also like the ingredients, especially the shea butter and prebiotics, which are usually a good choice for my sensitive skin. Unfortunately, this just didn’t perform well for me as a deodorant. It’s labeled “extra strength” with “48-hour protection,” but I noticed slight body odor coming through within the first hour and had to reapply at least twice a day. This was disappointing, especially because I had high hopes for it. I’m glad the formula didn’t irritate my skin, and I still enjoy the scent, but as a functional deodorant, it didn’t do the job I needed. Would love to see an improved version in the future.

This was my first time using this brand and I used it faithfully for about 9 months. I've been using more natural and aluminum-free deodorants for several years now. I have sensitive underarms so I stay away from "clinical strength" or a lot of chemicals. I've tried both ladies' and men's brands (I'm a woman) and they only seem to work for a little while before they completely stop working and I have to switch to something new (or back to an old one). I decided to give this one a try after seeing it pop up on Amazon a lot and also because the one I was using isn't sold in stores and would sometimes take a week or more to get to me. My first impression of this deodorant was that I like the compact, round packaging and how easy it is to use (the bottom twists very smoothly). Secondly, IT SMELLS AMAZING. Black rose and Oud is such a delicious scent - lightly floral, sweet, a little powdery, and a little musky. Every time I applied it, I kept falling more in love with the scent. And it also applied to my underarms very smoothly and without any pulling or roughness. It's worth noting that I started using this deodorant during a heat wave; we had about three weeks of temperatures between 90-100 degrees F with 75-95% humidity. Surprise surprise, this deodorant held up! Mind you, it's deodorant and not antiperspirant, so, yes, I did sweat, but, no, I did not smell. I applied it once a day (or the night before) and had no issues. This deodorant also held up exceptionally when I was exercising and it did not leave me smelling bad at all after workouts. Now, where this deodorant DID NOT HOLD UP is when it came to hormone changes and (emotional) stress. Whenever that time of the month came around, the deodorant significantly weakened and I had to apply it again during the day. For me, that's actually normal and I pretty much have that happen with any deodorant. It's performance during stress was pretty terrible though. I went through a few months of intense mental/emotional stress and this deodorant completely failed me. The second I got anxious or stressed out, my armpits would start to pool and turn into a swampy mess and I would immediately smell terrible. Not once did the deodorant hold up to my stress sweat or funk, which was very disappointing since I liked it very much outside of that one issue. I ended up just throwing it away (since I wasn't sure when the stress would stop) and going back to my previous deodorant that worked wonderfully, now sells on Amazon, and I highly recommend: Kosas! It is pricey like this one, but the main selling point for me is that it contains AHA and BHAs that stop the funk and also brighten (and keep bright) the underarm area. It also neutralizes razor burn.

Love this deodorant. It’s a little pricey but the effectiveness and beautiful scent make the extra couple of dollars worth it. Additional, unlike so many other deodorant sticks that last only a couple of weeks, Salt & Stone will last a month. The fragrance of Black Rose & Oud and Neroli & Basil are unique and sophisticated which you’ll be rewarded with throughout the day when you get whiff’s of it occasionally.
