I decided to buy some real trail running shoes since I have been walking my newly adopted dog on a wooded trail (lots of rocks, tree limbs, dirt, water) and she turns every walk into a run. My poor road running shoes are getting destroyed out there. I usually buy all my shoes used on FB marketplace, but I really wanted something nice/new/waterproof for this. These are really nice shoes, but I took a star off because they do actually run pretty large. I chose to ignore the reviews and buy my regular size of 10 since that is what Amazon suggested. I should have gotten a 9.5 in these but the 10's were almost $30 cheaper. I guess I'll just take my chances and wear thicker socks because I also don't want to deal with returning them. Kind of annoying, shelling out this kind of money for nice shoes for the first time in.. ever, and have to deal with sizing issues. I've never worn a 9.5 shoe in my life! ... show more

I have another pair of Salomon hiking boots that are also very comfortable and water poof. These Salomon Alphacross 5 Gore-tex Hiking shoes were comfortable right out of the box! They kept my feet dry during our hikes in Alaska rain forest (and it was raining). Love them.

These run very large! I’m an 8.5 women’s and that was massive Then got an 8 and it was also massive~ lots of room in the toe~ I have kinda narrow feet. I did not get a third pair because I became exhausted

Great comfort, The only reason I’m giving the 4 star is that the fabric wore out sooner than I’d like( I’m really hard on shoes!) fabric tore within 5 months and sole wore down a bit fast. Incredible comfort waterproof even with the worn fabric! Love the brand!!!!!
