Bought these for a trip to Scotland. Not an avid hiker/backpacker so didn't want too aggressive of shoe because I wanted to use them also on the cobbled streets for more stability, and walks at home, etc. Tried out a lot of options and these were the best choice. Look nice, and performed great on hikes and scrambling over wet rocks - no slipping! Ended up walking through a shallow stream and my feet stayed dry. Comfortable walking all day right out of the box. I did notice these fit a bit wider than other Solomons I tried (they were too narrow). They are also easy to slide in/out of without unlacing as long as they aren't laced too tight. This was great because I hate tying shoes! ... show more

Although I already own Salomin hiking shies, the brand was recommended to me by my orthopedic surgeon after I broke my foot. I LOVE this pair so much, I bought in balck and blue. Very comfortable, still great tread a year a later. Excellent arch support, durability and added stability. It's also a great looking shoe. Great comfort, The only reason I’m giving the 4 star is that the fabric wore out sooner than I’d like( I’m really hard on shoes!) fabric tore within 5 months and sole wore down a bit fast. Incredible comfort waterproof even with the worn fabric! Love the brand!!!!!

The fit was very narrow yet my foot was coming out of the back. I SO WANTED TO LOVE THESE and if you can get your proper fit. DO it. I was unable and there is nothing abnormal about my foot. I have never had this style of Solomon so...
