I don’t normally write reviews, but this product had so many reviews that threw me off when reading them, that I thought this review might help. First, I want to say that this is an excellent product if you understand what it is and what its purpose is. This is a body makeup, not a sunless tanner! While it can, and does give a sun kissed glow like a sunless tanner, its uses and properties are vastly different. I got the “fairest” shade and it makes my very light skin look nicely tanned. It’s not a deep dark tan, but very close to my normal sun-tanned shade. I bought this product because, after multiple pregnancies, I have many unsightly veins on my legs that make me self conscious when my legs are visible. So let me highlight this product: 1.) It is a water resistant makeup foundation. It is not totally soap proof so you might see minor steaks after showering, it is not at all difficult to touch up and blend the streaks out. 2.) It is buildable until you get the coverage you need, or desire. The color does deepen the more layers you put on. I don’t find it necessary to use more than two layers. 3.) Since it is not a sunless tanner, it dries quickly and does not rub off on clothing once it is dry. Many reviewers mentioned mixing it with other lotions or lotioning the areas you normally lotion before using sunless tanners (elbows, knees, around feet and ankles, palms). This is not necessary or recommended. I believe this contributes to the many reviews that complained of it rubbing off. The other lotions disturb the adhesion of the foundation. 4.)The color you achieve after putting it on is the color it will stay. It does not develop over time like a sunless tanner. This makes it very easy to get flawless even coverage. The coverage I have achieved is not complete coverage, (I don’t believe you could cover a tattoo with it), but it does vastly improve discolorations and unsightly veins. The improvement is enough that I feel comfortable when my legs are visible. 5.) While it is marketed to the legs, this can be used beautifully on any area of the body including the face. 6.) It can be easily exfoliated away when you are finished with it. 7.) No special care is necessary when using your hands to put it on. It will wash off your hands with soap and water. 8.) I have received many compliments saying my legs have never looked so good! ... show more

I should have heeded all of the reviews that said it's orange. It is VERY orange. It was also very poorly packaged. Arrived in a soft mailer & the tube was unsealed. Product had leaked & when I opened the package, the makeup went everywhere. I can attest that it's water resistant, because it was very difficult to clean up, but that's all I can say for it. In Amazon's favor, they did give me a returnless refund. ... show more

Ok. So I bought this with the intentions of using it on my stomach to see if I can cover my stretch marks. It does work but not as much as I liked on my stomach. But The color was so nice, so I applied it on my face as a foundation and it works pretty good. I can’t wait to wear this during the summer when I’m on vacation. I can wear this instead of having to wear regular make up. It spreads pretty easily, there’s no smell, and it doesn’t leave any streaks. And if it does leave streaks then just add a little bit more and blend it in better. It looks a little orange at first, but keep blending and it fades to a nice tan color. I’ll be using this all summer. It’s water resistant, not water proof, so it does come off, but you need to use soap, a wash cloth, and scrub. ... show more

    • Hard to match with some skin tones

The good: this does go on smoothly, it does stay on, and it does cover what you're trying to cover as long as it's something you reasonably could expect to cover it. The not so good: There's no good match for very pale skin. The palest shade looks very orange and unnatural. I recommend the palest shade of Dermablend instead. This is unwearable. I wish they would just be honest about the fact that some skin tones will not have anything resembling a decent match with it. Still, if you can match your skin, I think this type of leg makeup would work very well, and it wasn't very expensive. ... show more

I use the fairest, as I naturally have lighter skin. At first I wasn't a fan because I thought it looked too orange and fake. But I learned to use it sparingly and really blend it in. I use my hands to rub it in but I'm sure a makeup body brush would work even better. You really have to buff it out so it looks more natural and not orange. I will buy again, costs less than other body makeup. It evens out my skin tone and helps my legs not look so pale. I haven't noticed any transfer, seems to last at least a day or two unless you scrub it off with soap. I have not used it at the pool yet. ... show more
